Yeah, I don't see the claim as outrageous at all. I'd like to see the arguments for centers outside this list that are claimed to be better than Getzlaf.

BTW, Malkin is currently not that high, unfortunately.

He's the total package you want from the #1 center, physical, can drop the gloves, big body with good speed, scores, assists, very good defensively, a leader. Just the complete package. He may not be the best center in the league, but I don't think too many other centers in the league bring as much to the table as Getzlaf does.

And after a bit of a shaky start to being a captain he's really grown into the captaincy and has become a great captain on top of it.

It's kind of crazy to think this is his first career hattrick, but had to happen sooner or later .
