I don't think anyone realized how Moulson while not a playmaker was real good at getting to the net and this is an Isles team that generally is hot when they are scoring from in front, they are not a big perimeter or circles/slot scoring team, Vanek is good but the problem is I don't think the other 3 guys on the ice outside of him and JT are good enough to give the room he requires to play his type of game and be the guy he can be.

JT looking better, starting to come alive. Just need to get PMB away from that line and this team

Bailey needs to be on that line. While I think Vanek is the natural fit there even when he returns, I'd be up for trying Bailey there and Vanek with Nielsen.

I'd like to see the Islanders move him. I think he probably has good trade value at this point and the Islanders could get probably get a fairly competant player.
You never give away that type of speed. It is invaluable in getting out of your own end and it gives the opposition something additional to worry about.

There are more facets to this game than scoring goals.

About a minute to go in the period and the Isles are buzzing.

Here comes the Tavares hot streak, this is always how it starts, he is quiet for a week or so and then suddenly in the middle of a game becomes noticeable, he may not explode tonight but watch him be on fire now the next 5-7 games or so.

Last 3 shifts, Hamonic has been paired with Hickey, Amac with Donovan.

I haven't seen all of this game, what's the scoop on this one? How bad is the Vanek injury?

That's grossly misinterpreted. This team is insanely passive this year. Up until the last few minutes tonight nobody has been in attack mode.

I agree. Grabner has a unique skill set that would be very hard to replace, I say hold on to him. It's not his fault Cappy is utilizing him terribly on the 3rd line.

On the face of it, I would agree. I've been focusing in quite a bit on Grabs lately, and his lack of hockey sense, goes against your point. From a common sense prespective, what you say should be accurate.

I'm not impressed. They're still playing like crap. This columbus team sucks as bad as us.

Half the guys, especially Bailey and Grabs, look like theyre asleep.

Toi much better tonight..everyone getting ice which puts the team in the game…rather than 1 line playing 23-24 mins of tired no back check hockey. Columbus is playing well also. Hope it don't come down to a softy goal…..still a lot of non hitters…a hockey player should be able to muster 1 hit in a game …..

I remember we were hoping to get Ryan Murray and "settled" on big Griff, what does everyone think, better to have Griff or Murray?

Is Donovan really that bad? He was involved offensively on the Hickey goal.

Was Murray the one Snow wanted to trade the entire years draft picks for?

Offense isn't the problem.

Keep in mind he hasn't played 20 NHL Games yet...

Columbus is not a good team, they got a bit hot last year and Bobrovsky was insanely good, he's been pretty average this year but its been more than enough to make them a bad team so far.
