You say you're tired of all the positive Strome talk - and I'm tired of all the negative talk. I can't wait to see what you're saying in another few months, lol.

Do you know who's stats these are:

1983–84 Laval Voisins QMJHL 70 133 149 282 97

I guess if Strome was performing at that level you could call him special, lol.

Speaking of Strome, Bridgeport at Adirondack tonight.
Also, Regina at Brandon, Quebec at Cape Breton.

It will never be done again. Crosby put up 168 in his draft year. Lindros put up 149. Tavares had 134 in his 16 year old season.

McDavid could enter that territory next year(or this year if he goes on an even bigger tear... he's on pace for 112 in a 67 game season; the amount of games Tavares played when he put up 134).

Can't wait to see how this kid does next season, in his draft year.

Please stop telling me what I said when you are 100% wrong. Please go back to find my quote where I said I was tired of the positive talk regarding Strome. The answer is you won't find because you did not like my opinion. My opinion WAS that he was not performing as well as I would have hoped...NOT that he was not performing well, just that I had higher expectations. I specifically pointed out his goal totals at the time, which was four.

I am not into playing games so I don't care who that is, although I could guess (but I won't).

One more thing, GOOMBHA...I am already saying that Strome seems to be turning it on! Again, I never said he was performing poorly (or however you would incorrectly categorize my post where I thought he should be performing better...again from a scoring perspective). I'll say whatever I damn well please. I can already see that you are willing to say whatever you want whether or not it is based on facts.

No Islander prospects were invited to the USA world junior camp.
Ville Pokka is on Finland, Hpoe that both Reinhart and Pelech make the final Canada roster.

Is the least talented player on the roster better than Okposo? Or was it a management/coaching (favoritism) decision? That surprises me.

I don't think Okposo is eligible for the World Juniors tournament anymore...

Wow, Cammarata is having an excellent season at Minnesota, surprised he wasn't selected by team USA. Sure was a bad year for Isle's 2013 picks. No Pulock, MacAdam or Cammarata ? No VCR for Sweden too ?

The 2013 draft class has been shut out of the world Junior.

That's the first time Shutout and MacAdam have been in the same sentence

We shouldn't forget that the US, Sweden, Canada and Russia are traditionally the best U20 and U18 countries on the planet. Regularly.

It is incredibly difficult to make those teams.

Team USA traditionally brings a high percentage of its USNDTP kids with a few CHLers, a college kid here and there, and maybe the odd NHLer/AHLer sprinkled in.

Canada simply has an IMMENSE group of players to choose from.

VCR wouldn't even get an afterthought for Sweden in light of the incredible amount of 19 year olds who are taking a regular shift in the SHL, much less 18 year old studs such as Lindholm and perhaps Burakovsky. Maybe next year if he's tearing things apart in the OHL?

We don't have any Russians who come into question and that squad is going to be leaving a number of boys off who many felt would be taken into heavy consideration. They'll still have some real interesting names at the tournament though.

Not much to get excited about in Islanderland for now, but should be another fantastically high class tourney. Looking VERY forward to it!

How do other teams fair with their prospects and national teams? Are our prospects average, worse or better than other teams with regard to team prospects playing?

Since only 3 of our prospects have made it, I'd say way worse from the last few years.

Pulock is turning into 2011 Leduc, WTF ! -8 in the last 3 games, that's practically impossible to do even if you tried to do it on purpose. VERY disappointed in Pulock.

He's always had some question marks defensively and that's been my gripe with him the past few years. His offense was never in question, but he still has lapses defensively. He'll need to spend next year in the AHL while Reinhart could make the NHL roster.
