Wanna talk individual accomplishments? Kessel had outscored Kane a whopping one time in their career. Zero if you look at age of their season.

One of Suter, Kessel or Kane.

I've never understood why people thin Kane is so much better than Kessel. IMO their pretty even as players.

I think the only thing that can determine which player is better without all of these variables would be an arm wrestling match. Sorry Kane
What a terrible argument.

Hockey is a team sport. Patrick Kane doesn't have any cups if he was on the Toronto Maple Leafs instead of the Chicago Blackhawks.

Yeah, but Kane's supporting cast. Let's not take in account he was playing with an injured Sharp, a horrible Bolland, and Kruger most of the season.

Kane still played more minute than Toews did last year and was first among forwards.

He's put up 12 points in 9 games against western teams this year. I'm sure he'd be fine

Also, he and Kane have almost exactly the same TOI per game this year - so he isn't getting an advantage being on the "first line".

He was double shifted a lot in a stretch of games.

Doesn't matter. Him having more TOI means that he has a chance of getting more offensive zone time.

Kessel/Kane are really close. Suter is a ways down the line from them.

But my Hawks glasses are on so I pick Kane. In the playoffs he picked his game up like the hat trick Vs LA and series winning goal for example. But Kessel has not had the same opportunities in the playoffs Kane has......no fault of his.

Kessel narrowly ahead of Kane. Suter's harder to slot in, being a defenceman, but he's certainly up there with them. Those are the clear top 3.

Kane = Kessel = Suter

Any order, doesn't really matter. All are elite players.

I take Kessel ahead of Kane, personally, only because of off-ice issues.

Sutter/Kane/Kessel as everyone is saying.

I'd say its Sutter/Kane for 1-2 in which ever order you want. I'm a Leafs fan, but personal achievements make them better. Sutter's a top 5 d-man i'd likely say he's the number 1.

The better question would be which Americans would make team Canadas olympic team?

An interesting question, but asking/answering it does (rightfully) come across as bragging on the part of Canadian posters.

That said, I think Kessel, Kane, and Suter would all easily make Team Canada. At least 2 of the 3 goalies on Team Canada/US-combined would probably be American, too. Beyond that, I think Parise would get a good look (though I wouldn't have him on Canada if he were Canadian), and players like Kesler, Backes, and Brown would get consideration for their two-way play/toughness.
