Avery should be pissed...

There are reports Avery was called out for the comments he made regarding the way the lockout was played out. Tie Domi was on of the guys. Avery has the right to express his opinion and yeah, the deal got done and it's behind us but it didn't have to go this far. Avery is going to be better and badder then ever once the season gets underway.

I believe he is refering to the tirade Domi went on at the NHLPA meeting yesterday.

Things got heated at times during the meeting Wednesday night. Veteran Toronto tough guy Tie Domi, for one, confronted Sean Avery of the Los Angeles Kings for being critical of the union leadership earlier this month. Domi was also angry with Detroit Red Wings goalie Manny Legace, who slammed the union negotiators last month.
Quote:
Tie Domi:"Speak your mind but don't do it when you haven't even played 100 games in the league. It just wasn't the time for any of those guys to speak up. If Manny Legace had some issues, where was he last night to speak about it? I give Sean Avery credit for being here.

Huh?

Sean Avery: 163 NHL games played
Manny Legace: 146 NHL games played

I think it's time to stop fighting, Domi...seriously.

Avery's got every right to speak his mind and criticize whomever he wants...as do the people who then speak their mind against him and criticize what he said.

IMO, Avery shouldn't have said what he said...it serves no benefit whatsoever. I know he's po'd and he's frustrated. But he should have kept it behind closed doors...particularly after there was a settlement agreed to.

Domi needs a calculator...or a link to tsn.ca's "players" page.

Avery lost 800,000 in a strike/lock out that never would have benefited him anyways. Id be pissed too.

Just because one can do something, doesn't mean one should do something. In this case the someone is Avery and the something is public criticism. He lost money last year but he will be an UFA much earlier which may more than compensate him. It's all relative. Once again I'm sorry for being a contrarian.
