Biggest Team Need- playmaking first line center on our second line lol

When we have played our game we've been successful. Against the top teams so far (sharks game aside-for good reason-Boyle off on stretcher in first five minutes) we have brought our a game. Agains the lesser teams though we get up early and coast in letting them back in the game.

My biggest disappointment so far has been Teddy Purcell but i hope after last night it will turn around for him because if he and Malone can score more for the bolts watch out!!!

I'd say Purcell has been the opposite of disappointing, he's been good. Completely different player compared to last year.

Best Forward- Krejci. You could really put any forward on this line in here, but Krejci has probably been the most consistent, and has truly been a three-zone player this year. He's been an absolute beast in the faceoff circle as well. It isn't just his percentages, but how cleanly he's winning a lot of his draws.

Best D-man- Krug. I don't care if someone has some CORSI stat or whatever to show he's playing sheltered minutes, he's been absolutely remarkable offensively, while bringing a solid defensive game as well. Sure he makes some mistakes every now and again, but for the type of game he plays, you'd think he'd make A LOT more.

Biggest Surprise Player- Smith. Very fast, very quick, and has playmaking prowess and vision that I never knew he had. He turns the puck over a bit and could use some better finish around the net, but he's had an absolutely exceptional start to the season, and I am VERY glad he was included in that trade, especially when you look at how Eriksson is fitting in.

Biggest Disappointment- Eriksson. I considered putting Marchand here, who is probably equally as bad so far, but I really thought Eriksson would take this line to the next level. Instead, he has been absolutely abysmal. Passive, low compete level, turning the puck over a lot, passes up scoring chances to pass the puck off, gets gassed very easily... The list goes on. Still have to reserve full judgement as it's early, but he doesn't seem to be a good fit on this team.

Most Under Appreciated- McQuaid. He's a guy that I got on in years past as a weaker part of this blueline, but he has been solid as ever this year and, along with Campbell, is the first guy to step up for a teammate.

Biggest Team Need - Secondary scoring from lines 2-4. They've been way too reliant on both the Krejci line and the D chipping in. I don't expect either of those to keep scoring at the pace they are, so that scoring is going to have to come from somewhere else. I'm not worried about it because the Bruins motto has always been depth, but it has been an issue so far this season.

Top 3 Prospects- Spooner: He's been ready for a while now. He impresses every time he's called up, and his speed would be a big asset for this team.
Subban: Still a ways off, but he has a ton of potential if he can harness all of that athleticism. Unexceptional start to the season, but like I said, he's still a ways off.
Svedberg: It's nice to have a couple good goalie prospects. I don't know if he has as much potential as Subban, but he has been unbelievably impressive since coming overseas.

It's tough to give goalies 2/3 spots, because it's such an unpredictable position, but I really like what I've seen from them.
