I share this opinion. This is probably the best Purcell has ever played, despite being regularly shifted to lower lines. He's providing great depth scoring and a solid two-way game.

Best Forward - Shane Doan
The captain looks reborn out there. I hope he keeps it up.

Best D-man - Oliver Ekman-Larsson
He just keeps improving. Looks like he's taken that step to really establish himself as one of the best defensemen in the world now.

Biggest Suprise Player - Derek Morris
I knew we would have a lot of D scoring this season, but didn't expect Morris to contribute this much to it. Great to see.

Biggest Disappointment - David Rundblad
Lead the team in scoring in pre-season but have been mediocre at best in the six games he's been called upon.

Most Underappreciated - Rob Klinkhammer
Getting some cred in Phoenix but league wide he seems to go unnoticed. Terrific energy player with a scoring touch. Leads team in +/- (+11).

Biggest Team Need - Top six winger

Top 3 Prospects -
Brandon Gormley
Max Domi
Connor Murphy

T.B. Lightning

Best Forward- Steven Stamkos. Through the first >20 games of the year, I don't think there's been a better player in the league.

Best D-man- Tough one. Probably Matt Carle or Victor Hedman.

Biggest Suprise Player- Ben Bishop. He's been consistently great and greatly consistent. Honorable mention to Val Filppula, who everyone (me included) thought was a bad signing in July and now looks underpaid.

Biggest Disappointment- Ryan Malone.

Most Under Appreciated- About 1/3 of the team. Matt Carle, Tyler Johnson, Alex Killorn. But if I had to choose one, it would be Ondrej Palat. Most people around the league have no idea who he is, but the kid's solid as a rock every game.

Biggest Team Need- A true #1 defenseman. Hedman's progressing slowly and he's not there yet. The Lightning have a lot of #2/#3 D-men, but no legit #1, premiere, go-to guy.

Top 3 Prospects- Drouin, Vasilevsky, Kucherov (<-- This one is going to surprise a lot of people)

I am a longtime Oiler fan, but I am disgusted with that organization right now and the direction they are taking (obviously).

Best Foreword- Taylor Hall

Best D-man- Nick Schultz

Biggest Suprise Player- Mark Arcobello

Biggest Disappointment- Devan Dubnyk

Most Under Appreciated- Nick Schultz

Biggest Team Need- Overall team defence

Nick is -1 on that garbage team, and guys like Petry (-11) and J. Schultz (-10) get called the best d-man and receive more ice time because they score a few pp points.

I hope Nick gets traded soon so he can go somewhere where an idiot organization and coach won't waste his ability to shut guys down.

Best Forward: Ryan Getzlaf

Best D-man: Cam Fowler or Bryan Allen. I'd call it close but Fowler draws the toughest matchups and does a pretty good job.

Biggest Suprise Player: Bryan Allen. HM to Lindholm. I thought he'd be good but I didn't think he'd be this good. Looks like a 5 year veteran out there as a 19 year old.

Biggest Disappointment: Luca Sbisa

Most Under Appreciated: Daniel Winnik

Biggest Team Need: A physical top 2 defenseman

Top 3 Prospects: John Gibson, Frederik Andersen, Hampus Lindholm

I'd argue our biggest need is a #1 dman so we have SOMEONE who can play with Petry. Ference just doesn't cut it on a top pairing. Otherwise a perfect summary though imo
