Best Forward- Kopitar. Richards is a VERY close second, but Kopitar has been spectacular defensively while very good offensively. Richards has also had the benefit of playing alongside the better winger in Carter.

Best D-man- Doughty, without question. He has been spectacular offensively and defensively.

Biggest Suprise Player- Dwight King. Just playing at the 2012 level.

Biggest Disappointment- Slava Voynov. He's regressed a little since his new contract.

Most Under Appreciated- Matt Greene.

Biggest Team Need- Top 6 left wing

Top 3 Prospects- Toffoli, Vey, Pearson

1.Best Forward-

2.Best D-man-

3.Biggest Suprise Player-

4.Biggest Disappointment-

5.Most Under Appreciated-

6.Biggest Team Need-

7.Top 3 Prospects-
Got two teams so Tampa First than Detroit.

NOTE: Am hugely impressed by our Tampa representative board Is like universal agreements here.

1.Best Forward-

Stamkos is becoming the most dominating all around best player in NHL. He has added defense to his game and is a scoring threat on every shift and is not just sniping anymore. He is super physical leading team in hits besides gudas I believe.

2.Best D-man-
Hedman really solid needs to be allowed to play power play.

3.Biggest Suprise Player-
Killorn guy is a beast and has moved into top line and looking good. I didnt see him being more than a 60 point guy. I never saw him being a top liner yes could fill in but not as well as he has done. I didnt think he had the puck control skills he has. I also didnt see his mad skills of deking other players. Knew he was well rounded and loved to shoot puck but kid surprises me daily.

Will give honorable mention to bishop but nothing he does has surprised me I expected it all with him he always blocked that first shot last year and had decent all around skills. His one true improvement is from last year his puck handling passing from behind net scared me now think he might be becoming in elite category of it and I surely do not fear him doing it actually laugh about passes he makes while making great players look foolish.

4.Biggest Disappointment-
Ryan Malone huge mistake not to buy him out. 3.2 percent shooting percentage played 12 games with Stamkos and Marty had 1 goal 31 shots on goal 6 assists think one was primary rest he was carried along. Is ugly honestly.

5.Most Under Appreciated-
Nate Thompson he is awesome for us night in and out. 4th line center difference maker. No one mentioned him on our boards so shows how under appreciated he still is. The others went with palat but I saw him play a lot in Ahl and knew his game so thought would translate well to nhl. He is a stud undersized but dont tell him that lol.

6.Biggest Team Need-
number 1 or 2 d man to take over for salo.

7.Top 3 Prospects-
on the team? killorn johnson palat. honorable mention to panik and connolly.
off the team drouin vasilevskis kucherov

1.Best Forward-Datsyuk

2.Best D-man-Kronwall

3.Biggest Suprise Player-there isnt one? ouellet? he has played two games so will go with monster gustavsson back up goalie he is really playing much better than last year.

4.Biggest Disappointment- can i start a list? quincey. rest expected it to be this bad.

5.Most Under Appreciated-howard and will say thank god helm is back he is going to be a difference maker by years end

6.Biggest Team Need-number one or two defender but honestly just to cut a bunch of dead weight and start letting some kids play.

7.Top 3 Prospects-
on team? Dekeyser Tatar Nyquist (not up yet but will be)

off team? I think backman mrazek and nylen janmark. No one else will agree.
So will say to others? Mantha jarnkrok and jurco maybe? probably sproul

Best Forward-Perron or Hall

Best D-man-Petry that's by default, since the rest aren't even playing AHL defense

Biggest Suprise Player-Arcobello, I think he has 12 points in 19 games. Undrafted, 5'8, 25.

Biggest Disappointment- Dallas Eakins. Every player, both special teams and 5 on 5 play regressed under him. I know this organization has had a habit of blaming the coach but for Eakins, results speak for themselves.

Most Under Appreciated-Gordon. Amazing 3C. 60% on faceoffs.

Biggest Team Need- 3 top 4 defensemen. We only have one (Petry) since our idiot GM decided to trade our other top 4 dman for scraps to our biggest rival

Top 3 Prospects-Nurse, Klefbom, Marincin. Real excited about Nurse. Looked unreal in preseason, and has 20 points in 17 games. He may have more offensive potential than originally thought.

Best Forward: Henrik Sedin.

Best Defenseman: Kevin Bieksa. Hamhuis when Bieksa has his Casual Kev moments.

Biggest Surprise Player: Mike Santorelli/Brad Richardson. HM to Stanton; brilliant pickup.

Biggest Disappointment: David Booth. Afflicted with a hardcore case of Sami Salo-itis.

Most Underappreciated: Roberto Luongo.

Biggest Team Need: Centre depth, one-shot scorers, two-shot scorers, any-shot scorers, scorers generally, someone who has a clue how to run a PP.

Top 3 Prospects: Corrado, Horvat, Shinkaruk. HM to Archibald, who might actually be an NHL player landing in our laps out of nowhere. Not counting Lack; no longer a prospect.

Best Forward-
Pominville, no question.

Best D-man-
Brodin hasn't been the same since his injury. I know he'll come back, in which case I believe it'll be him again, but right now it has to be Suter

Biggest Suprise Player-
Justin Fontaine. I expected Nino and Granlund to have big years so they don't surprise me. Did not expect Fontaine to have six goals already at this point.

Biggest Disappointment-
Heatley. Was hoping with his offseason training he did, he'd come back better than last year. So far he's only gotten worse.

Most Under Appreciated-
We don't really have a most under appreciated player, I don't think. Maybe Spurgeon or Scandella I guess.

Biggest Team Need-
Our biggest need is more that we need our depth to continue to play well so we can continue the success. If I must pinpoint a specific position, it'd be a quality second pairing defenseman.

Top 3 Prospects-
With most of our prospects graduated or set to graduate this year (including Dumba, Fontaine) I'll go with some combination of Zucker, Haula, Gustafsson and Lucia.

Best Forward- Carl Hagelin

Has only played 7 games, and while some credit him with the turnaround for the Rangers I think that started before he came back. But he has still been the best forward IMO. Creates 3-4 high quality scoring chances every game and drives play as well as he always does.

Best D-man- Tie McDonagh/Strålman

It's hard to look past McDonagh's goals/points and his role on a (for once) clicking PP, but he has been struggling with Girardi 5v5. Strålman OTOH has been the best PMD in the league putting up amazing possession numbers. He leads all defencemen in the league in FF%, despite the Rangers having middling possession numbers as a team. His relative numbers are off the charts. A low on-ice shooting percentage has hid a lot of his contributions, but I wouldn't be at all surprised if he led the league in +/- at year's end.

Biggest Suprise Player- Kreider

Looked as awful in the pre-season as he had done in 2012-13, and he seemed to have an uncanny ability to always be where nothing was happening on the ice. Always in the wrong place and looking very tentative. But after he was called up he's been nothing but fantastic. Though playing with Stepan and Zuccarello is probably a pretty good help.

Biggest Disappointment- Until his scratch Zuccarello, overall Pouliot and Girardi

Zuccarello and Pouliot were two Rangers that I thought were overlooked during the summer. Zuccarello since he had been driving play so well during is, albeit spotty, NHL career and Pouliot since he had been putting up great 5v5 scoring numbers while also driving play well. Zuccarello started out abysmally, but after a one game scratch he has gotten his game together and is PPG in his 9 games since. Pouliot OTOH has gotten nothing going and looks awful out there, a shame after a promising pre-season. Perhaps a scratch could get his ass in line as well.

Girardi has been awful, and is dragging down McDonagh something fierce. One reason Strålman's numbers looks so amazing is likely because Girardi is out there sucking it up for half the time he isn't on the ice. Strålman has by far the best relative FF% in the league, Girardi's is by far the worst even when you adjust for zone starts and quality of competition and teammates. He just doesn't seem to fit the AV mould for defencemen.

Most Under Appreciated- Strålman

Honestly, his are probably the most ridiculous possession numbers I've ever seen.

Biggest Team Need-

To trade Girardi and get another RHD that can log 20+ minutes but also move the puck well. I'd like to see what Florida would want for Gilbert.

Top 3 Prospects- Kreider, Miller, Lindberg (Fast, Kristo follows)

Best Forward- Hall, he had tough start to the season as he was forced to play as a C and then he was kneed but he just drives our offence

Best D-man- Jeff Petry by a freaking country mile

Biggest Suprise Player- Marcobello, guy is stealing 2C spot from Gagner

Biggest Disappointment- Dubnyk, I thought that he could be .910-.920 goalie again but he makes simple shots look dangerous. If we had legit starter we'd have at least 8 wins

Most Under Appreciated- Gordon, people were saying that 3M per season is overpayment but he's beast at the dot, he blocks shots and he already has 8 points. Perfect 3C

Biggest Team Need- Top-pairing d-man

Top 3 Prospects- Darnell Nurse (D), Oscar Klefbom (D), Martin Marincin (D)

Yes, look: Suhprajs.

I just quoted the OP to get the titles and I think most others did as well, so the spelling error should stem from there.

Best Forward - Bobby Ryan : he's everything we thought he would be, big man with soft hands, really shifty for his size, protects the puck well, strong on the cycle, strong gaining the line, sees the ice well, wicked shot

Best D-man- Erik Karlsson, slowly regaining his Norris form, when he's at his best, this team looks like a contender. How he goes is how we go

Biggest Suprise Player- Clarke MacArthur, he works hard, does everything well enough and he found chemistry with Turris and Ryan

Biggest Disappointment - Colin Greening signed his extension in the summer, just a passenger this season. He's big and fast yet seems to play such a passive game.
Chris Phillips - no more than a solid #6 good on the pk, he's asked to eat a lot of minutes, not his fault
Jared Cowen - lofty expectations,he's big and mean, but the hockey IQ seems to be lacking at times

Most Under Appreciated - Jason Spezza, he's a PPG player and one of the best two-way forwards these days. Cutting the no look passes to a minimum would make him even better

Biggest Team Need- Top 4 D who can defend, move the puck out of zone, play on #2 PP

Top 3 Prospects- Lazar,Ceci and Stone

Best Forward- Cody Hodgson (good on offense, horrible on defense)

Best D-man- Mark Pysyk (He's doing great this year)

Biggest Suprise Player- Nikita Zadorov (I did not expect him to ready to make the jump to the NHL at age 18, but he has handled it better than expected. He is also physical too.)

Biggest Disappointment- Tyler Ennis (5 points in 19 games...)

Most Under Appreciated- Ryan Miller/Jhonas Enroth (they both have been playing great this year!)

Biggest Team Need- Fresh coaching staff and some elite offensive talent

Top 3 Prospects-
1.) Nikita Zadorov (shows poise, is physical, and is doing great for being on such a bad team)
2.) Rasmus Ristolainen (doesn't make many dumb mistakes and plays a physical game)
3.) Zemgus Girgensons (plays with so much energy, hits people, great leader, he could possibly be the future captain of the Sabres)

Best Forward: Alexander Steen

Best D-man: Alex Pieteangelo

Biggest Suprise Player: Steen. He's been my favorite Blue for two years now as he's a great two-way player but he's just been amazing so far this season.

Biggest Disappointment: Chris Stewart. He's doing some little things well and is getting better but still only 2 goals on the season. Not what was expected from the team's leading scorer from last season.

Most Under Appreciated: Vladi Sobotka. If the nickname of "Little Ball of Hate" wasn't already taken, it would go to Sobotka. He's only 5'10" but he plays like he's 6'3", is incredibly nasty, very good defensively and chips in well on offense too (8 pts in 15 games). He's the type of player that just helps you win games - he contributes in so many ways. Hitch can put him anywhere in the lineup or anywhere on the ice and he succeeds pretty much everytime.

Biggest Team Need: Consistent effort for a full 60 min. Nothing really needed from a player perspective expect perhaps the proverbial top line star forward they've been lacking for years (and is nearly impossible to acquire without creating other huge holes on your team). They could also use a decent #7-8 depth d-man or two as they really don't have any quality depth D options in the AHL in the event of injuries.

Top 3 Prospects: Jake Allen, Dmitrij Jaskin and Ty Rattie

Ducks have been done a few times but I will chime in because I disagree with many of the posts:

Best Forward: Ryan Getzlaf. Perry is easy second.

Best defenseman: Cam Fowler

Biggest surprise: a lot of people are saying Allen, and while he's been very good, but he's still on the bottom pair, so it's easier to excel IMO. We have two great candidates here. I would give it to Perrault. No one expected anything close to this. Penner is same way though. I give it to Perrault though because he's not playing with Getz and Perry. Although that should not take away what Penner has done. He's been damn good even when on other lines. I questioned both moved by Murray, so well done sir.

Biggest disappointment: fortunately, we don't have a real dissapointment so far, but if I had to choose, I would say Holland. Expected him to prove he belongs. In fairness to him though, Murray got Perrault and Holland did not have much time to prove anything. However he seems being content with being okay and not great. He was solid when he's been up, but doesn't seem to want it as much as Rakell does. Winnik would be 2nd. He's been too soft IMO, but still not bad.

Most underappreciated: so many candidates, but I will go with Bonino. He really makes our depth stand out. Perrault may not be a sexy 2nd line center name on paper, but the Ducks have one top center in the league, and then 3 2nd/3rd line centers. Does wonders for our depth.

Biggest need: a legit top 3 defenseman to pair with Fowler. I would love Edler.

Top 3 prospects: so many options again. Isn't Andersen still a prospect? If so, gotta go with Gibson, Andersen, and Lindholm. Etem and Rakell are damn good though.
