Got back from a run with my brother. He is usually is only a treadmill runner. But, he's been running races with me and we signed up for the Pittsburgh Marathon. So, he's trying to get outside more

It definitely helps to run with a partner. I took 35 seconds a mile of my average pace and did my fastest 4 miles ever. Didn't really feel like I was pushing it at all.

Minus some sleep deprivation for mom and dad all are doing well.

No spoilers as I'm a week behind over here. I'll get that one Saturday night at 850pm

Had to get that in before people start talking about the Governor's tryst with the sisters and the lesbian friend or whatever happened. They don't show the previews here so all I have is the speculation from how the last episode ended.

Miss La Bamba Bikini Queen 2013 ate an entire roll of TP last night. I put the new roll on yesterday afternoon, came back to the condo last night with her at midnight or so and I was down to cardboard this morning. These women are killing entire forests but that's the price you have to pay sometimes.

Was asked to move my truck out of a parking space. Reason was "this is usually where I park, so can you please move?" I said no.

Dud, I have that too. Just not for HF. Every few days I pretty much experience it. It's weird. Like I'll tell my friends that I remembered we had this exact same exchange of words and they'd look at me very strangely.

How was the trip to Samara? I'll be a stone's throw away at Punta Islita next week and was wondering if the town was worth venturing into.

I've noticed that just about every beach has its own flavor. Samara I enjoyed. That said, it's got a lot of granola happening. The surf isn't as dangerous as some of the good surf beaches due to the rock reef off-shore which seems to shelter it from the sort of rip currents a lot of the surf beaches have. We stayed cheap at Rancho de la Playas ($45 a night) and I would recommend the organic store/coffee shop as well for breakfast omlettes. Fried whole fish at the Anclar was pretty ****ing awesome -- so much so that I think my 7-year old ate about half of mine.

We went up to Rincon de la Vieja for the zip lining yesterday at a place called Vandara and they have 10-12 platforms to zip line. The food was excellent -- mostly grown onsite and organic -- for the lunch that was provided. They have a quarter-mile long waterslide that kicked everyone's ass. It's fast, bump and scary as hell. My son went twice. On-site hotspring they pipe into a shallow pool down in the river valley (think of a wide, canopied ravine that the zip lines go over) was good for relaxing. My daughter is completely taken with zip lining now... which as she said "only takes one time to be brave". The folks there were very nice and we had a great time.

I have a lot of writing to get done by my deadline on Wednesday, but here I am, sitting on HF in the midst of a historically bad season for the Sabres.

And I should be applying for jobs, but I'm on HF in a section that isn't even for my team!

Also too busy 'fighting' with an HR manager for a firm I applied to last week. It's his own fault, his job posting is complete crap compared to what the actual firm and position is. Don't want to completely burn the bridge though, as beggars can't be choosers. At this point, I should really take whatever I can get, but I'd rather be miserable today and happy tomorrow than miserable today and miserable tomorrow. Does that make sense? Probably not.
