You've never played goalie, and this is made very apparent right now. My guess is that you look at a score, and that determines the problem areas. 5 goals? Oh, duh, the goalie!

Agreed, Dubnyk has had a terrible season, but other than one soft goal (look at Crawford tonight for soft goals BTW), tonight was in no way his fault. The D, or lack thereof was our downfall. You can't give away the puck 50 times in our own slot, and leave that many people in front. It should have been 10-4.
Exactly.

The system needs to be changed, as does the starter.
And yet his save percentage was higher tonite than Crawford. So why didn't the OIlers win, maybe because they gave up 40 quality shots from in front of the net.

You could put Ken Dryden in our net and he's going to have a crap save percentage too, as long as our opponents keep getting to shoot wide-open from the slot.

A few games behind this bunch of chumps and Bryzgalov is going to be talking about committing suicide again.

Well, let's just hope for good post game press conferences from Bryz.

"The mall here is so humangous big."
"Don't worry, losses no problem in the universe."

****, I'm excited.

Today would be a good day for Eakins to take a 10,000$ fine and rip the refs for that gong show they put on tonight. Oilers have their own problems, Chicago didn't need the help they got in the last 10 minutes of this game.

No, I mean our D coverage was horrible, but that being said, that 5th goal was very soft.

You realize its the goalies job to stop the puck right. Hey if we stuck a cardboard cut out in net its not the cut outs fault the D didnt stop every good chance.... Dur all shots should be from the blue line. O wait i forgot dubnyk cant stop shots from the blue line. How bout our defense keeps all shots to center ice. Damn he let one in from there to. Well hopefully the D will keep all shots to the other teams zone then dubnyk will be served by his D properly....

Quality of shots Bozwell.

Did half of you not watch the game? I'm asking seriously here. Dubnyk bailed us out way more than he had to tonight. I'll give him a pass on one bad goal (Keith) as he negated at least 4 or 5 sure things.

Oh sorry, didn't know I had to play goalie to make a comment; my bad. And yes, he made some good saves, I can't deny that. That pic I posted btw wasn't completely in relation to this game.. maybe have another look. Not like I said "HEY GUYS WE LOST THIS GAME BECAUSE OF DUBNYK 100%". I said he sucked.. honestly, he let in a couple softies.. but sure, go ahead with your "I PLAY GOALIE I KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT" rant if it makes you feel good.

Ref's need to grab a brain, no way that Yak goes alone to the box after that scuffle. BS!

This is completely off topic, but what exactly is going on in your avatar there? Bert looks like he's discovered peyote or something.

Cyril, when I first looked at your avatar photo I thought Ricky from the Trailer Park Boys. That being said, I agree with your comment about Gagner.

BUT... I liked seeing what I did. A good game by the Oil against arguably the best team in the league. And a good game by Yakupov. People can criticize his defensive game, but in the game I watched he was more noticeable than most. I liked that he was given time with Hall, and I liked the 'instance' that he took a penalty for. A few calls against the Oil were questionable, and that was one of them. Yakupov is finding his game, and in my ever-so-humble opinion, it will only gain steam.

Win or lose, it was still a decent game by the Oil... and that is all I am wanting at this point.

p.a. Sorry if I am being too positive for most people on this board... Fire Eakins! Is that more to the better? (I am being facetious.)

One reasonable game for Dubnyk and suddenly we forget that he destroyed our season already?

He can't be blamed for the loss tonight, but on way way too many occasions this season, he could have been.

Cory Crawford - .826% in the game.

Dubnyk outplayed his opponent in net, but his team still lost the game

Hmmm

The next three games are on national television. TSN, TSN, CBC. Unleash Bryz.
