Vanek WCHA Preseason Player of the Year

Quote:
Minnesota returns 20 letterwinners in 2003-04, including sophomore forward Thomas Vanek (Graz, Austria), the WCHA Preseason Player of the Year. Vanek received six votes with sophomore Zach Parise of North Dakota finishing second with three votes. Minnesota’s junior defenseman Keith Ballard (Baudette, Minn.) picked up one vote.

Interesting that Ballard received a vote as well.

I can't wait to see what he does this year. I'm actually very excited for the U.S. College hockey season to start.

Vanek kicks ass. I hope he tears it up this year. I can't wait for him to come to Buffalo. Can't wait at all.

You aren't the only one. He has a skill level that really grabs you, know what I'm saying? I watched some highlights of some of the goals he scored last year and they were just amazing.
