I am currently carrying 6 centers that should probably be getting regular starts:
Datsyuk, Backstrom, Spezza, Thornton, Nugent-Hopkins and Turris
I feel like I definitely need to trade one of them, but I am having difficulty deciding which one I can do without.
The league is points based and the values of skater categories are as follows:
G - 3
A - 2
PPP - 1
PIM - .3
SHG - 2
Which one should I trade and what are some potential targets. Ideally, I'd like to trade for a LW.
Based on that scoring, I'd look to deal Thornton or Backstrom for a scorer, but preferably Thornton as Backstrom is an absolute monster for PPP. Both will get you like 20ish goals and 40 PIMs this year yet are seen as two of the more consistent point producers so they'll get you a good return. Always look to get players with multiple-position eligibility (I don't know if any of your centers have that). It's unbelievably helpful.
As for LW targets, I'd go for Zetterberg first and foremost. You probably won't be able to get him though, so maybe try for someone like Lucic, Parise or Kunitz.
