Condra

I miss Condra...

he is a fast skating defensive stalwart that really stabilizes the bottom 6. Hope he is back soon.

Having a 4th line defensive forward plug like Condra doesn't make this team fix its problems.

I don't see how having Condra last night would have helped the team at all especially given that he has only one goal all yr. We needed some energy, some goal scoring last night to help Andy out & the players looked dead out there, absolutely no energy from any of them.

Ottawa has blown games before like this with Condra in the lineup, so I doubt he would have helped. Personally, I would like to see Condra & Conacher traded for a forward but I'm not sure they have much value between them.

I'm not sure what people are expecting...

Condra sucked as much as the rest of the (team) collection of players

http://www.nhl.com/ice/playerstats.h...Name=plusMinus

He has been on the ice for 13 goals against in 13 games (5 games less than others). The only forwards that were on the ice for more goals against are Spezza and Michalek (but they play a lot more). Yes, 5 of those goals were on the PK, but still... 8 GA at even strength. In comparison, Turris has been on the ice for 10 ES GA in 5 more games and he plays much more and face tougher competition.

IMO, that's terrible for a defensive forward, and I saw him turned the puck over several times. Not something Condra is used to do.

Problem is with the team defense as a whole, not particular players.

5 of those 13 are from playing on the PK.

He's been below his standard for sure to start the year but he does all the little things right and is normally a great possession player. If everyone here is so happy to give Michalek Greening Neil a long leash Condra deserves an even longer leash.
