saw Inside Llewyn Davis. Pretty darn good.

Life of Pi was okay. I like the message more than I liked the movie.

Saw Xmen Origins: Wolverine, my god was it bad lol.

I'm half-way through Only God Forgives, I really like it so far.

I didnt not dig this movie at all, stoping it exactly at half-way. I tough it would be as good as The Place beyond the Pines, which i really enjoy, but it was just too strange to follow and adapt. If you like Ryan Gosling, watch it, same as Drive, which i found pretty excellent

AND yeah Xmen Origins Wolverine was pretty mediocre eh.

After the great reviews and comments about Breaking Bad, I've decided to watch it. I finish the second season now.
So I can only comment on the first two seasons. Personally I find it shallow, too linear, not intriguing nor thrilling, heavy (drugs, prostitution, murders), and uninteresting characters. In fact, I hate all characters in that series, no exception.

Overall, I don't like it. Game of Throne is much much much better.

O_O

I can only tell you that with season 3, everything change. But if you found that no caracter interest you, well probably this serie isnt for you.

But i wont start a war trying to convine you that its the best serie ever. If you dont like it, well at least you tried. Im a fan of GoT myself, and you see, im now a fan of the serie, but after two season i was not litteraly convinced. And now i cannot wait for season 4!

Well you can't please all the people all the time. There's a preview of GoT Season 4 called A Foreshadowing with clips and interviews with the cast. It's only 15 minutes but pretty interesting and a good teaser. You can find it on the usual sites. I also am very eager for it to start.

Episode 4 of True Detective was great. The biker gang scene was thrilling.

So, I really liked Only God Forgives. I can understand why people hate hit, but I really liked it, even though it is pretty convoluted.

Its visuals kept me in the story. I loved the colors. The story obviously has deeper meaning and symbolism that has be intrigued.

I'm not saying people were wrong in disliking it. I just really enjoyed the movie.

I have to write a film outline for tomorrow.

Yes that's right, I have to come up with a 5-7 page treatment for a feature length movie for tomorrow and I have no ideas that fleshed out. In addition I need to write a beat-by-beat sheet for the movie The Devil's Advocate (Ugh) for the same class, also for tomorrow. Also, I have to write a (funny) commercial parody for another class.

And people say art school is easy.

I'm not sleeping tonight.

Inside Llewyn Davis is my next watch and then Philomena . At that point I will have seen all Oscar nominated movies and top tier snubs . Might publish my top list just to get an OscAr debate going.

Please do, most here enjoy your taste in movies.

I'm pretty terrible at discussing films... I like too many of them. One caveat: I ****ing HATED Working Girl and my screenwriting teacher loves it.

edit: Have you seen Amour?

Let me know what you think about Inside Llewyn Davis. I've been mulling over the meaning of that moving over for two weeks. I really enjoyed it.

I enjoy GoT but the character development in BB is excellent. Your post sounds like something you were already going to say before you saw BB.

You seem to offer more insight than most when you discuss movies. All I can say is that I either liked something or I didn't. I usually can't delve further into it than that.

Tough to break it to them but natural science is the easiest **** you can do in school. So much for the superiority, nerds.

Watched the first episode of True Detective mostly due to the praise it's receiving here in this thread.

I liked it. The acting really is top notch. Dialogue was as good as everyone here said it was. Plot wise/thematically, I'm not too sure what it plans on doing, but I'm going to stick with it.
