Tank On!

The Good -

- Myers again.
- Enroth with some key saves, despite the loss.
- Girgensons again.
- Omark's offensive game was on display. I'd love to see him get some time with offensive players.

The Bad -

- Porter and Ennis both getting dented. Ennis didn't look right even after returning and of course Porter didn't return.
- Power-less powerplay. Results matter, right? How about putting Leino on the bench and trying anyone else.

The Ugly -

- Officiating. Oh man, that call on Ott and some of the ticky-tacky things were just infuriating.
- Soft-zer. Can he go back to Rochester after the Spengler Cup? Please?

G:
-Enroth
-I'm all for leading the McBain fan club, his breakouts were phenomenal tonight
-Myers as always
-I loved how many guys took shots at Lucic these two games (Weber, Ott, D'Agostini, Girgensons)
-Omark got better as the game went on, nice feed to Moulson, just missed his own

B:
-Ennis/Leino are just ruining both PP units, and I still don't like Ehrhoff on the point

U:
-Blind dumb refs

Can we PLEASE try Girgensons on the PP? Wouldn't it make sense to try the forward who is, you know, scoring and generally playing well?

Also: there is NO excuse for not gaining the zone on a 5-on-3. None. How this team can repeatedly turn the puck over in such situations makes zero sense to me.

G - Myers, Enroth, Zemgus, and the "Compete"

B - Sulzer and The Zebras with the horrendous slashing call on Ott.

U - Powerless Play with two empty 5 on 3 chances & Ville Leino

I am honored to say that this will be my first post here after months of lurking.

G:
- Ennis. Dude was all over the ice tonight.
- Myers, especially after that Bergeron cheap shot.
- Enroth was pretty good, but definitely not his best game.

B:
- Sulzer. Lord almighty...
- Leino. Yikes.
- Tallinder. He just looked lost.

U:
- Officiating. ****ing terrible.
- Chara. 'Nuff said.
- Lucic. Guess he's not so tough anymore.
- Boychuk. Herp a derp.
- Bergeron. Can I just add the whole team while I'm at it?

Hey Chain! I'll put up a post on the intro thread so as to not clog up this one.

Oh yeah, McBain was on fire too. Even with the plugs up his nose

Girgensons with 3 goals and 3 assists in the last 10 games.

Leino: 0 goals this season.

Statistically, who's the best puck possession guy on the team? Girgensons.

Who gets to play on the PP (mind you, we've been consistently stuggling to enter the offensive zone)? Mr. Lame-o!

Maybe it's a part of the tank? Any other rational explanation?

Might hurt the tank....

I'd prefer Girgensons over Stafford on PP1.

Omark or Stafford to take Leinos spot on PP2

I don't know why you're equating Stafford with Leino. The latter is a train wreck, the former is playing pretty good hockey.

If Leino put in Stafford's effort, he wouldn't have 0 goals on the season.

Eh for the most part the guys I want to have a future on this team played good and the guys I don't want to have a future on this team were trash. Which is how almost all of their losses have been this year.

Good: Enroth, for the most part. Loved the Hasek-like sprawling save in the third period.
Girgs
Myers play and his manhandling of Bergeron
Bad: Any power play and most penalty kills. Special teams sucked
Ugly: NESN and their broadcast team.
NHL officiating. Absolutely beer league quality. And I apologize in advance that I'm insulting beer league officials when I say that.
Chara's own front of the net rules. Isn't he special?

Leino better be bought out this summer. I don't want him near our organization's future. I do not even think a NHL team would sign him. Back to Finland or the KHL

It's tough to make good PP units given we only have 3 decent options at the point right now (Myers, Ehrhoff, McBain).

We have a lack of playmaking forwards with Hodgson out as well.

Assuming we stick with the umbrella look

Girgensons-Moulson
Ehrhoff-Ennis
Myers

Ehrhoff needs to be a shooter. Let the PP run through Myers.

Stafford-Ott
McBain-Omark
Myers

Yes, I'm keeping Myers out there the whole time. We just don't have many good options, and he can handle the extra minutes. I trust him at the point and his decision making way more than our other choices right now. Otherwise McBain has to go up top and then...Foligno? Flynn? Leino?

The Clint Eastwood -
-maintaining the lead for the top draft choice

The Lee Van Cleef -
-providing happiness to Bruins fans

The Eli Wallach -
-being forced to watch Leino and Marchand at the same time

Good:
Loss for the tank
Girgs
Myers(beast mode on)
Everyone is pushing hard and playing hard, thank you for this Nolan, you make the games interesting
Stafford - I don't think he's a top 6 guy anymore, but he could be a great bottom 6'er on a contender.

Bad:
Lame-O
Lulzer
Ennis
PP

Good:
Myers
Enroth
McBain
Girgensons
Omark showed some flashes

Bad:
Sulzer
Leino
Stafford (he scored the other day so we won't see him again for another twelve games)

Ugly:
Refs. The call on Ott was ridiculous and how the eff does Chara get to crosscheck someone again and again without getting called for it?
PP was just painful to watch
Marchand
Claude Julien

I don't see how you've come to this conclusion when I wanted Leino removed entirely from the PP and Stafford possibly bumped to the 2nd unit.

It makes sense to me to have Girgensons on the 1st unit with his natural linemates. (Ennis and Moulson)

I don't think this was a trade where the Oilers hoped to win. It was a mercy trade. They already had him on waivers, and nobody picked him up. But the sentiment is not lost. Omark will have a decent career moving forward imo. He was with a totally dysfunctional organization that never gave him a chance (well, they did, and he produced .5 ppg).

G:
-Girgensons
-Myers
-Ennis until he got hurt. Came back to the game but definitely didn't look as good.
-Tank back on track?

B:
-Sulzer
-Power play

U:
-Reffing. That phantom slashing call.
