Bizarre or obscure records

I thought of this while reading through the, 'unbreakable records' thread?

What are some of the more obscure, bizarre or just weird records in the NHL?

One odd one that came to mind: Ryan Smyth is the only player to ever score all three goals in a 3-0 win twice.

Gordie Howe is the only NHLer to play in 5 decades (1940, 50, 60, 70 & 80)

Or you could pull up the playing pro hockey in the 6 decades (sort of) when he played in the IHL for the Vipers (I think) for the one shift. Now that was one of the most embarasing things I have ever seen.

Although I saw the guy in the early to mid 90s and let me just say that guy had a tonne of muscle mass on him still.

I have a record trivia book at home with some interesting stuff. One of my favorite tidbits was the top 10 highest scoring single seasons ever... in which the player didn't score a single goal. I think the most was like 25-30 or something. 0-25-25, haha. Can't remember the player off the top of my head, but he was on the list 3 or 4 times! This guy couldn't put a marble past a goalie, but he still contributed offensively.

Most points in his first NHL game: 5 (2 goals, 3 assists) by Philly's Al Hill in 1977.

The Tampa Bay Lightning are the first and only team to alternate wins and losses for 13 consecutive games in the Playoffs. To break the record a team would be eliminated from the playoffs.

I recommend the book: The Unofficial Guide to Hockey 's Most Unusual Records by Don Weekes and Kerry Banks.

Some ones I chose at random:
Players with goals in all four periods: Bernie Nicholls and Sergei Fedoorv
Players with goals in their only NHL game: Rolly Huard, Dean Morton
Largest pont increase between two seasons: Bernie Nicholls, 72
Most coaches hired who were also players for the team: NY Rangerd, 17
Fewest penalty minutes by a 1000 game player: Butch Goring, 102

I don't know if he holds any records but Val Fonteyne had some obscure stats.

In 820 games in the NHL he amassed a grand total of 26 penalty minutes.

I believe they were all minors.

To put that in perspective that would be an average of 1 minor penalty every 63 games.

He played by the rules.

It's not as hard as you would think when you take 5-minute shifts...

Mario Lemieux's 5 goals in 5 different ways (even strength, power play, shorthanded, penalty shot, empty net) in one game...

the 10 000th goal of the Montreal Canadiens franchise (scored by sergei Berezin at his first game for the team) was the first goal who was scored by players whose numbers were a continuation in the 90 range. goal by Berezin (95), assisted by Perreault (94) and Gilmour (93).

Most Points by a Goaltender, One Game

3-Jeff Reese, Feb 10, 1993, 3 assists

The bizarre thing about it is he was a 3rd period replacement in a blowout game against the Sharks, and proceeded to set the NHL record for pts in a game in one damn period.

Or howabout most points in a game by brothers:

Points
Player, Team vs. Opponent Date G-A-Pts
Darryl Sittler, Tor vs. Bos. 2/7/76 6-4-10
...
Peter Stastny, Que at Wash 2/22/81 4-4-8
Anton Stastny, Que at Wash 2/22/81 3-5-8

In the same game both Peter and Anton both had 8 pts, tying them each for 2nd place all time in points in a game.
