My mom mentioned now that dad is mostly in bed he could use a decent tv. So kid sister was dispatched to Salem to get him one with built in DVD. He loves two things. John Wayne and war movies. I spent the day ordering him 20 DVDs. The JW westerns, WWII flicks , and then some personal favorites. Kelly's Heroes and Dirty Dozen.

Now I have to find Secret of Santa Vittoria.

We'll get him set up at Thanksgiving since we are all going ther. Me, my three sisters an all our kids. We told Mom we'll bring dinner. No worries. There will be about 25 of us.

At least I feel like I'm doing something.

Yes he has partied enough. **** I'm about to be 28 and my best friend is about to be 27 and neither of us have kids. A few of our younger friends have kids and are either married or together with the girl or don't even acknowledge the kid(one of my friends which is ****ed up).
In my book when you love, care and provide for a child, it's yours. Also, I didn't have my first until I was 35. Docs told the Bride and I we never would. Then science, beautiful science, figured it out. We have three.

Science indeed

I agree about whoever raises it. A friend from work has been with the same woman for several years, and she brought two kids into the relationship from a previous man. My friend speaks of them as if they're his own. They're all under one roof and it's his family. Regardless of what the birth certificates state, he's a father of two.

Apache and Longest day were my favorites growing up. LOVED John Wayne. Loved history and WW2.

Yeah that's what he's done. I think their father was deported to El Salvador or w/e. IDK if he sends money, don't think he does. He takes care of them and supports them I think he used to have 3 jobs at one moment.

Better than my other friend who got a girl pregnant and even now 5 years later says the kid isn't his. Funny since he pays child support for it and IT LOOKS LIKE HIM!

I want kids, an ex asked me if I wanted kids with her. I did but I understood at our age and jobs we couldn't afford it. Told her and she got upset. Even now I KNOW I am too immature and am not in a position to have kids. In my 30s hopefully I will meet someone, marry and have kids.

While we are talking about relationships....

my friend-who-use-to-be-my-husband texted just now and asked me to breakfast (not that strange because we are friends)

but I reply--sure, would love to, but is everything ok?

him: yes. been doing a project for a few days, need a change of scenery. besides, you always ask, I wanted to this time.

me: no really, who's this?

*We are such different people now

Dude..........I downloaded the LOTR Trilogy(I own them as well) The extended "Return Of The King" is like 5 hours long!

Frodo throws the ring into Modor and there is like 1 more hour left!

Anyways I wasn't really impressed with the first Hobbit thought it was a snooze. I prefer the 1977 animated version.

Yeah, I've seen it too. Gollum is a frog and the Elves look like Martians.

The only thing worse is Bakshi's LOTR mess.

Nick Cannon stand up special on Showtime right now. I got 9 minutes in and had to turn it off. He's so bad it's uncomfortable to watch. Trying so hard to steal Chris Rock's delivery

My father liked Mr.Roberts. Anytime myself or my brothers messed w/ my Mom's kitchen, as in ate something we weren't supposed to. Dad would say, "ok boys Captain Quaig is on the warpath."

Another one was Midway w/ Charlton Heston and Henry Fonda.

Total weather geek-on today - tornadoes and everything. Cave is under a watch until 8pm.

Got to go refill the sunflower seed bucket before the next line of storms hit.

Woo Hoo Weather Channel!!!
