Game 73 | Where's Teuvo? | Hawks down Stars 4-2

Teuvo Teräväinen is beginning a fantastic journey. Blackhawks fans, can you find Teuvo?

Is he on a ski slope in Finland?

Is he avoiding Blue Line derailments at O'Hare?

Is he on a seasonally inaccurate Oak Street Beach?

Is he hanging out in Wicker Park?

Is he in the United Center about to start his first regular season game for the Blackhawks?

YES!

Not even going to bother trying to figure out the lineups ahead of time, but I noticed the Stars played Monday night with Lehtonen in net. Hopefully we get Tim Thomas.

Of course in his debut, I'm going to miss it cause of work. Hopefully I'll see him with a good game on my phone on my break.

So.....you guys will let us take this one, right?

Will you settle for an OT loss?

Jokes aside, I always get pumped for Stars-Hawks games, and this one should be no different. Good luck tonight, guys.

Agreed! There's so much hype around TT. If his career ended up not being as good as the top 6 skaters on our team, that would still be a good career and I wouldn't be disappointed in the least.

Here is what will happen..TT will set up guys 5 times for grade A scoring chances..all will fail to score because 3 shot attempts will miss the net and there will be goalie saves on the other two...Hawks will lose because CC will hive up his usual 2 goals early and Hawks cannot climb the mountain back.. Again Hawks will out shoot Dallas by 39-17 and after the game Keith or Q will repeat the mantra: "against a goalie like that we must keep it simple and get more guys to the front of the net"...yada, yada,yada...The corollary of that stupid statement is that opposing teams must laugh and retort that against a goalie like Crawford all they nerd is 17 shots and the Hawks are toast...just play rope-a-dope. ..Hawks will make some mistakes...a deflection or lucky bounce and the usual soft and voila we beat the Hawks by doing almost nothing attack..etc..etc...etc.. I am sick of these repeating scripts...so if you think TT will be the saviour to correct this we must keep it simple excuse for too many fails...methinks you are delusional. ..Guys must bury grade A chances..cannot critter them away then claim we gotta keep it more simple..no..you simply must finish scoring chances..period.it is all about converting scoring chance efficiency or lack of such..period..do not want to hear any other theories or lame excuses. And further..your stars must be stars..your best must be your best.they are paid higher because of higher expectation.. They cannot miss too many great scoring chances..must bury those. That is the SIMPLE truth.

Thanks for the GDT compliments, guys. Was most proud of my Wicker Park WW picture find.

Looking forward to another battle with the Stars after the good ones we had earlier in the season although not looking forward to the inevitable Roussel run at Teuvo.

#Blackhawks lines: Versteeg-Toews-Hossa, Saad-Teravainen-Smith, Sharp-Handzus-Shaw, Bollig-Kruger-Regin. Bickell and Morin rotating in.
Hawks can clinch a playoff spot tonight with a win and Coyotes loss. Ducks as well.

I don't want to see Lehtonen stand on his head and the Hawks lose despite outshooting the opponents again. Hope Teräväinen has a good game, will be happy if he has a solid showing with as little defensive lapses as possible. Don't expect him to light it up, but I fear if he doesn't have a multiple point night some will turn on him and cry about what a bust he is.

I expect him to have flashes of greatness mixed with moments where he looks off just like any other rookie.

Well the thing about that is anyone dumb enough to post or think that kind of stuff will get a one-way ticket to my ignore list so i'll never have to read any more terrible, terrible posts from them ever again.

LOVE the GDT by the way

You would think Q would give Handzus a rest a game here and there just because of his age and the playoffs approaching, never mind that he sucks eggs and should sit regardless.....

Teravainen better fight Roussel early or he's a joke.

Still remember Shaw, the Joakim Nordstrom of that year, coming in and fighting someone on his first NHL shift. "WTF who is this guy?"
