Obviously Habs need a shake up. Its been years that we are floating with a mediocre team, and it seems that some players just need a fresh start, while other have become redundant . So here is three trades that I think can help the Habs and the other team we are trading with.
1st pick 2014
Montreal gets a talent center with size and a defensemen who can eat up minutes with Subban. While Colorado gets a sniper with size to play with their many centers, a reliable stay at home d to replace Johnson and a 1st round pick this year to add to their young talent.
3rd pick 2014
To Saint Louis:
Montreal gets a sniper with size and Blues get an excellent two way center, and a gritty winger to add experience, and depth for a strong playoff push.
4th pick 2014
Montreal gets a young, gritty center, while Florida gets a bit of a project in Desharnais, but can turn it around with a fresh start and different system. They also get R.White to offset the loss of Matthias.
Won`t go ahead and make lineups for other teams, but from Habs side:
O'Reilly+Johnson for Pacioretty+Gorges+1st? O'Reilly is our top line left winger, and on top of that you want our best defensman. Our offense gets marginally better if at all and our defence gets far worse. You don't address any of our needs at all. You only thought about Montreal.
Also, this trade downgrades two positions for the Avs. No.

No way Montreal trades Pleks and Moen for Stewart and a 3rd. As a Blues fan and fan of Stewart and Pleks both, I can only say bye bye Stewart. Leave before they change their mind. No way this ever happens. I doubt they offer Pleks for Oshie straight up, and I would do that.
