Where could Lundqvist possibly end up?

Does Henrik Lundqvist have any other options besides New York? And will his lack of possible suitors hurt his bargaining power with the Rangers?

I wouldn't be surprised at Philadelphia going for him, but is there anyone else? Could the Islanders coin up and get a nice new goalie for Brooklyn? All the other destinations I think he'd want to go seem to be all good with goaltending at this point. (LA, CHI, DET, BOS, ANH, SJ)

Goalie market is dead. PHI has Mason.NYI is a budget team and won't pay a goalie $7M+.

NYR will re-sign him, it is really the only option.

Mason? Both their goalies are UFA's and Philly always seems to make a huge splash or run...

Lundqvist is the highest caliber UFA goalie in years, and Philly's has somewhat of a troubled history in net.

If he refuses to resign before the deadline I think he will be moved. He doesn't have a NTC. Im sure a team like Edmonton will give up some talent for him.

Halek seems like more of a buy low option, and has done well over there. Henrik is arguably at his peak, maybe a year or 2 past it... and they'll be paying a huge premium in STL for that.

This is a bit out to left field but Calgary could pay him and accelerate their rebuild by two years if they did. They still have Giordano, Glencross and now Smid.

And while we think they should rebuild, Feaster always looks like he's retooling only.

Yea I beg to differ I think the defense has been the problem

New York is a great market and Henrik seems to revel in it. If he adjusts appropriately to the pads and sustains elite level production the Rangers will give him a blank check.

If he struggles and falters, finishes in the middle of the pack, Sather might try to get him cheap and Henrik then will go to the highest bidder.

It's not going to happen, but Henrik with that defense would be scary.

I am in the minority but I strongly feel if Lundqvist isn't resigned by the end of the season, he will still be playing in the Metro division, but not on the Rangers.

Lundqvist loves living in New York and I can't see the Rangers moving him, especially to a rival team like Pittsburgh or Philly.

Right now it seems like there's 0 chance he moves from the Rangers.

I don't think he'll get a better deal than the one the NYRs are probably offering.

Blues seem interested in upgrading in net. Pittsburgh, I imagine, would not be adverse to shipping Fleury out for picks and clearing some salary for Henrik. The market for goalies isn't good but the question "does Henrik Lundqvist have any other options" is a silly one.

If MAF implodes in the post-season again it'll be time to make some big moves in Pittsburgh.

Trade Letang to free up cap space / shake things up, somehow get rid of MAF, sign Hank.

Canucks buy out Luongo. Lundqvist signs with Canucks. Luongo signs with Rangers.
