No wonder they've been looking for some toughness.

Rosehill for Yakupov? Or do the Oilers have to add?

Considering the Oilers braintrust dealt Smid one of the few players on their roster who has a physical side to his game for prospects, the entire franchise mentality would have to change. That being said, they have some excellent defensive talent on the cusp of challenging for playing time, and a guy like Nurse (sigh!) can provide toughness while still being a great two-way player.

The losing attitude is not easy to shake.

No, I think it is more like:
Soft goal that leaks through
Duck under a high shot going into the net
Blame the defense and coach for goals allowed

Can you imagine how terrible it would have been if he was injured before the Flyers bought him out? Nightmare...

Tbf I reckon there could be about 10 different Bryz hattricks.

Parise says he strongly considered signing with Flyers before last season because he wanted to play alongside Giroux. #Flyers #Wild

Complain to the media you're "tired"

Blame media for playing average to subpar (below .900 Sv percentage)

Play puck and help D out only after Mason was acquired

But I thought there was no chance Parise was signing with the Flyers and Holmgren was wasting his time?

would of loved to have Parise on this team.
I could see people treating him like Carter was treated around here.

Suter probably dissuaded him.....remember it was package deal. Parise is most likely telling a half-truth

I wouldn't say that, he has much more bite to his game and a great forechecker. Carter wasn't liked because people thought he wasn't making much of an effort, but he just had effortless strides. Parise works his ass off every shift. He would be loved even if he put up 50 points I think.

I would have loved Suter here, god I was hoping he signed, but it does show the Flyers weren't grasping at straws waiting to hear back from them like so many have said before. There is so much action that goes on behind the scenes I always find it funny when people make statements about players like guarantees.

not sure they could of afforded both players. wonder what this team would of looked like. definitely not close to what we have now if the numbers were true.

Looks like the Flyers broke Evander Kane.

Shame for Winnipeg, and while it was a hard hit it looked pretty innocuous until he did not get up fully.

Well I mentioned him the other day and now Brooksie in new York talked to Callahans agent. "Absolutely nothing going on" in contract talks. I would bet a very large amount of money if he hits UFA homer or hexy would be all over him
