I personally value Gaunce more than Jensen even though we have a better version of Gaunce (Horvat), but I would be willing to switch Gaunce with Jensen if we really have to.

There's no way camm is going to get more than Iginla , no way.
I'd be surprised if he even gets a 2nd.

Gaunce's absulute ceiling is a 3rd line center! He's got nice size but almost 20 and barely a PPG player in the WHL.

He's been a PPG player the last 3 seasons on a terrilbe Bulls team.

And he's in the OHL...

Do you know anything?

Cheaper, younger and playing way better than Iginla was. Why would you be surprised?

He also doesn't have a "one team only" acceptable trade destination list.

Too bad . That is my offer.

Weise and Booth for Monahan.

Good. Sell him to someone else.

No thanks we have a lot of good 3rd line center or weak 2nd line center prospects like Guance.

How about Weise and Sestito?

They are way better fighters then Cammy is.

I'm sure we will, I don't really care who we trade him to.

No Flames fan has a vested interest in trading him to the Canucks, it's just a discussion.

It's just going to happen. Getting even a declining Iginla is more valuable than camm.
You're fooling yourself if you think camm>iggy

Run along now..

_____________

1st + B prospect would be fine. I think if Cammy keeps up this pace though we are seriously going to cash in!

People keep talking about his 6million caphit, but isn't that pro-rated come trade deadline?

Career wise obviously not, but if you're trading for the performance at the time of the trade, Cammallerri is most definitely better.

There are currently 13 teams that could hit his whole contract under the cap at the deadline if the Flames eat 50% then there are 17 teams that can take on the contract and if they eat 50% and have atleast 2 million coming back 27 teams can fit his contract under the cap.

Sorry, typo. Didn't mean to offend all the Gauce supporters. He's not exactly offensively gifted and a little slowish. I just see him having trouble being more than a fourth liner. If he can put up a PPG in the AHL you may have something, good luck with that, not really interested.

I think there is an opportunity to get Cammy to Van. I believe Van tried to sign Cammy in 2009 before he signed in Montreal. My theory is Gillis tried to get Cammy slightly under market value (like say Hamhuis) but he politely declined. Cammy might be more inclined to play for less on a non rebuilding team, though I wouldn't mind opinions on that. The thing is that because of that history it's not far fetched to think that Cammy would resign on a Kesler like cap hit for term that lines up fairly closely with the Sedin deal.

I would much rather Van trade 2014/2015 picks than guys like Jensen and Gaunce, only because Jensen/Gaunce are more likely to provide an impact on this team while the Sedin's are still here, as opposed to futures that are further out. Not saying I wouldn't trade these guys for Cammy, just trying to explain my preference

Canucks do not need tininess. Gillis added littleness at the deadline last season and it cost a lot for a little. A hockey mind like Gillis must see this is not a fit.

That's a pretty big gamble for the Flames. 2014 2nd + 2015 1st, 10% retained....no Booth?

Van is bottom 10 in goals for, they are bottom 5 for pp%, and are currently outside of the playoffs and still are looking for a solution at #2 center. Yea I don't see how a offensive player that is a decent centerman as well as winger could possibly fit.

Booth has to come back for it to work.

Thought someone had said a deadline deal would work at 10% retained. Canucks probably looking for more immediate help though, I would imagine.

The only rivalry between Calgary and Vancouver right now is a proposed pipeline.

The Canucks would be doing the Flames a favour by taking Cammalleri off their hands for a bag of pucks. He's on an expiring contract and with the Flames 11 points out of a playoff spot, they're competing with Edmonton and Buffalo for a race to the bottom of the standings and next year's draft.
