Not close. Not even remotely close. Not close at all. Zilch, zero, nada chance of this. Not a good deal. Nope. Nay. Neigh. Not even if hell froze over.

I'm running out of ways to say no, so here's my last one: NO!

From Buffalo perspective---this has no chance. Buffalo isnt giving up a top 5 pick for Kane.

HFLogic is strong in this one.

One can only hope a top-5 pick turns into something like Kane.

Also, no thanks. We aren't a big fan of petite players.

While I'd go crazy to get Evander Kane on the Sabres, I wouldn't want to move our first, and it seems like Buf and Wpg are bad trading partners. Both loaded on the backend, both needing elite talent up the middle.

No, there's a very good chance a top 3 pick becomes MUCH better than Kane. And on top of it, you add a 24 year old top 6 player and a very good prospect? Not a chance. Hell, Tyler Ennis has a higher career PPG average than Kane.

So we should trade our top 5 (likely top 2, let's be honest) pick + a good center prospect + a young top 6 NHLer for a former top 5 pick? Uh....OK. I think Buffalo's gonna be hanging onto that pick and sticking with the "build through the draft" game plan.

VERY good chance, MUCH better? No.

There is not a very good chance that a top 3 pick becomes MUCH better than a player who is a likely multiple 40 goal scorer. Of the players in the past decade to score 30 goals or more at 20 years old or younger, 4 of them have not become multiple 40 goal scorers. Their names are Bergeron, Kopitar, Toews and Skinner.

Not that it means the trade makes sense anyways. The top asset going each way is mistimed. The Jets are closer to wanting to compete so why would they give up the contributing asset for a prospect?

That was my thought. Buffalo will see the promise of their pick and Winnipeg knows the ability of their player. Neither side will want to do that.

It's impressive that he is on that list, for sure, but he also sticks out for having the worst stat line on that list, kind of by a lot. Every other player outscored him in total points by a significant margin except for Rick Nash, and Nash finished with 11 more goals. It's not like Kane has taken off since then, either. He's remained pretty stagnant as far as growth goes.

Jets aren't trading Kane for futures and Buffalo isn't moving futures. Bad deal all around I think.

Sorry i dont think so Sabres are possibly looking at
first pick overall. We could draft a player like kane
And keep a good prospect like larsson.were looking for picks
Not to get rid of them.
