Good season boys, heads will roll in the offseason.

This team has major deficiencies and still took the #2 seed in division to 7 games. I'm confident the correct moves will be made in the offseason to address those needs. I highly expect to see Brayden Schenn moved.

When was the last time the correct moves were made in an offseason with Homer running the show? I'm afraid it'll be the same **** as always until we get a new GM.

I think it's more likely they trade Vinny.

Who's gonna want Vinny? He's a liability he isn't even a good player anymore.

Before the season my hope was to make it to the second round
10-20 games in I thought playoffs were not even in reach
When I saw the matchup with the Rangers my prediction was Rags in 5

Hate the end of every season but we all knew from the start of the season this team was not good enough to be legit stanley cup contenders.

They fought hard in the series and came as close as you can get with a terrible first round matchup for them.

High hopes for the future, hopefully the right moves can be made.
Will be a long off-season, thankfully my Brewers are 20-8 to start the year.

Let's trade everybody!

Mason showed up in the playoffs cementing a good season for him.

Akeson may be something.

That's about all I took from this playoffs, good season overall & hopefully a good draft/offseason upcoming.

Teams would most definitely take him. He may not be what you want, but he's not useless. Guys making more who are worse are still employed

#1. Vinny must go. he's completely useless on this team.

#2. find a suitable replacement for Timonen. a young PMD.

#3. find a sniper to play with G and Voracek.

We have a lot of good young talent, this year wasn't our year we all knew it. I think b. Schenn and Vinny are 2 players that need to be sent out. I enjoyed reading everyone's posts this year, maybe next year is our year!

Yep. We finally have a legit goalie who doesn't melt under pressure. That's probably the biggest positive to take away from this.

Mason was their best player by miles. Unbelievable saves.

there are a lot of teams that are in desperate need of a center. vinny can still be a decent #2 in the right situation. a team like the Leafs could use his leadership. hell, he could even be their #1. he'd be a better center than Bozak.

lots of teams need centers. we're just not one of them.

Get rid of Holmgren and Berube, Holmgren is reaching and Berube is an amateur. Just let Hextall take over and see what he can do with this team, let him pick his own coach.

Hopefully he gets rid of Kimmo, Hartnell and Vinny. Maybe Coburn and the Schenns if the package is right. Get Grossmann as far away from this team as possible.

Sucks Coburn had such a terrible playoffs, he had a fantastic season.

Agreed, those are nearly impossible to find. Mason is young, incredibly athletic and lives in the moment that's one of the things that made today bearable.

I hate your team, and you guys hate mine. But damn that was a fun series. Had a lot of fun boys. Good luck next year.

Couturier and Voracek are such beasts. Should send one or both of them our way .

It was a good series, I wish we could've started with Mason. Might have had a different look. Congrats, sad to say I'll be rooting for you against the Pens lol.

A lot of positives to take from the season... we found a good forward in akeson, Mason seems to be the real deal.. JV and Simmonds had a great year.

We really need to work on the D... that is our greatest weakness. Also now they have an entire offseason/preseason to work on our system, it shouldn't be a struggle just to make the playoffs.

I'm afraid heads will indeed roll...which isn't what needs to happen. Heads rolled a couple years ago and we ended up with a severely overpaid Bryz and missing the playoffs last year.

The team appears to have everything it needs within the organization somewhere. Now it needs to grow. It's time for Couts, Akeson, Schenn, and Raffl to take the next step in their careers. Same goes for Simmonds, Giroux, and Voracek...still young enough to improve.

As for the eyesore of a defense...I think Ghost is already good enough to crack this abomination. I've been preaching patience and taking our time with him, but after these last two performances he'd be a welcome addition.

I'd be open for Schenn (or less) for Shattenkirk. That'll be a huge step in the right direction.

If it makes you feel any better, I'd feel the same if the opposite happened .

Stay the course, they traded Carter and Richards and got the core of a good team, next year Laughton comes up, hopefully they can sign Rasmussen, Ghost should arrive, Hagg and Alt in Allentown.

Fans are too impatient, one reason the Flyers constantly fall short is the "win now" attitude, make a big trade, spend a lot of money, instead of patiently building the core of a team, sticking to a scheme, getting players that fit that scheme, and letting them play together and develop some continuity.

Time for Kimmo to retire, Grossman and Vinnie to move on, otherwise, don't panic, if you can pick up some more speed on wing, do it, but don't sign any 30+ players, don't overpay for second tier talent and blow your future cap room, don't make megadeals for a "savior."
