Phi - mtl

B.Schenn for Pacioretty
(3.110) (4.50)
  • Schenn supposedly available for the right deal
  • Phi could use a scorer although things are looking better nowish
  • Mellanby (MTL Scout) been at PHI's last 3 games (Although they are facing each other on the 12th)

??

Hell. ****ing. No. Awful for the Habs as it does not address a need and even the value is quite poor.

At least you're being good about it. Sorry for being rude, but it's just not a good proposal for the Habs.

Too bad Flyers are getting back on track, i wish they would have traded one of their wingers for a prospect package.

How about Schenn + Schenn for Patches and Beaulieu?

Definitely if you are referring to Charlie Simmer in his prime!

It's OK, You van keep Max. He hs 160 points in 260 games, you're not talking Crosby here. Schenn has 60 points in half the games Max played, 130 games. Not much difference there between the two. I say pass for both teams

In fairness, Pacioretty scored last season at the same rate we hope Schenn will get to. Saying that, Schenn has been better than him so far this season.

Realize that Max is a much better player. That deal would be terrible. Would you trade Voracek for Eller? Probably not.

Philly would definitely have to add to this package, probably add a 2nd rounder in 2014.

Schenn will probably become a player on the order of Pacioretty IMHO. But still, there's no incentive for the Habs to take on any risk at all in that.

The Habs do need to *add* some bigger forwards, however, so the team would continue to be interested in guys like Schenn and Simmonds from the Flyers. Just not in an exchange that subtracts one of our top existing bigger forwards.
