We already have the 4th highest scoring d-man in the league (McCabe), plus Kaberle, plus Leetch might still be an option too.

Depends on what Gonchar would want, but I'm not too interested.

Judging from the clip, Domi doesn't sound like a guy who's expecting to leave Toronto anytime soon.

If Kaberle's not in their plans, they better trade him. There's no excuse that could justify cutting him loose, just like that.

In other news, .

When is there going to be a thread made on this in the main board so people can make smartass, sarcastic remarks mocking us about how no one wants to play here?

but he likes tie domi
he says tie likes to talk alot and he would like to be around those guys

I seen it too and nearly screamed. I'm getting too excited. I must contain myself. We all have to, because not everyone will sign here. Be ready for disappointments.

I don't think Nieds will come to Toronto anymore.

O'Niell I think has a very good chance

Gonchar I would welcome, but not for more than $3-3.5 million

Foote is also an expensive choice..

Forsberg.. I wish..

Murray is just a rumor at the moment

Lindros..

Too many to go forward..

I just want this to be settled!! I'm sick and tired of rumors and speculation!

Don't forget Klee, make sure he's back too. Him and Gonchar were partners in Washington and they're good friends.

This offseason doesn't look so bad.

Okay, so we sign Domi for $450,000. Quiznos can make up for the rest.

I think we can feasibly keep McCabe, Kaberle, and still pursue Foote and Gonchar. Leetch and Klee will be goners though. Totally acceptable. Gonchar is what? 6 years younger than Leetch? And more than capable of putting up the same numbers. Klee relies on clutching and grabbing too much. I've never been too fond of him.

Get rid of em!

ha ha that's funny.

With Klee and Gonchar and Kaberle and Foote, I think McCabe is the odd man out with that salary.

They were interviewing Gonchar at an on-ice practice facility in Toronto. Domi was there too.

Gonchar said that he lives in Toronto in the offseason and said, "To be honest, I want to play for a team that has a chance to win. I'd like to play in Toronto."

He then talked about how he likes spending time with Domi and other guys off the ice.

Domi talked about how since Gonchar lives in Toronto during the summer, it shows that he is commited to the Toronto community etc....

It's great all these guys want to come here but until there's a story on TSN about all these signing, I can't get excited. The fall is too hurtful.

actually that's not fair. He is a good player. I hope that he plays for $500-$700k - that's it.

Yeah those 5 and 6 game defeats at the hands of the flyers were embarrassing......

I agree though I dont know what Muckler is thinking keeping Smolinski and Devries around. Not at those prices.

if the game does open up i think a guy like Gonchar is key
i have a feeling Leetch will go back to the Rangers
and so Gonchar is a definite option, but i was thinking of Sandis Ozolinsh, he could be had for cheaper and i think he will thrive in the new system
Tverdovsky is another past guy would be great in a wide open game

buy out or trade McCabe
and target
Foote
Aucoin
Ozolinsh

Yes, finally I saw a post about somebody who wants Domi around. He's a good enforcer and is getting better at scoring points. I think he can do more than what people actually see from him. He is known andtold to be the enforcer, but when he isn't helps out and gets a few assists and goals.

If Domi stays, I just hope it's not more than $1mill..

He had so much drive, and passion in the 03/04 playoffs. For an older enforcer I was really surprised at what he was doing.

1 more year, Domi

domi is a league minimum player and i dont think it would be hard to sell him on staying here for less money if hes helping the team out
hes made more money then he should have for the past 3 or 4 years

That would be the Toronto RAPTORS that no one wants to play for.
