I love Sweden's defense, but Canada's players are better.

Did you woefully misspell Karlsson or is this x factor some sort of unknown quantity? Colour me confused....

The only US defensemen that would have a shot at cracking Canada's lineup is Suter.

Overall Canada, although Swedes have two guys (OEL and Karlsson) best suited for Olympics.

Worth mentioning that Edler is suspended for the first two games due his knee tackle on Eric Staal during last WHC.

Agreed with this.

I know Enstrom has been struggling but he's still a pretty clear step above Grossman. I don't think Oduya makes it, but he's also a step above Grossman, just solid all around.

Saw title, didn't even look at the options before voting for Canada. Sweden has a VERY, very good d-core though.

You mean Karlsson or Ekman Larsson? But Canada has a few arguable best d-men in the world too, in Subban, Weber and Pietrangelo. All of whom are potentially just as impactful as either of the Swedes.

Vote USA because I'm a homer and felt bad.

The answer is Canada, but suter/yandle is good enough to stop anyone.

Grossman playing over Hjalmarsson? Yeah I don't think so. Never seen Karlsson play on the big ice, and I'm not a huge fan, but he could be just totally dominant with that much room. I'll say too close to call between Can/Swe with the US comfortably behind

I don't see Grosmann's game translating to international ice very well.

Sweden's D looks awesome, but seriously, Canada's D is just too stacked to not be considered the best going right now. Great balance of strength, speed, def. and off. ability too...

I vote Sweden because they have the best defenseman in the world.

that defenseman, of course, is Jonas Brodin.

Canada, and I think Subban is severely underrated on these boards. Next olympics Sweden look poised to overtake Canada (Brodin, Lindholm, Karlsson, OEL, Rundblad, Enstrom / (Hedman, Erixon, Larsson,...). Still high hopes for a Stralman breakout year,

Sweden really has a great young d core, but Canada is better... ...now

The best group is Canada's, especially on paper, but the most effective on international ice will be Sweden's.

I think Swedens defense will make a much bigger impact but Canada has the more talented core.
