DD lover? Come on, that's the least of our worries with this Subban hater!

I'd like to see a Niederreiter type trade, doesn't look flashy, but looks really good from minny's standpoint right now. There are always young players that could use a change in scenary, that would be the kind of risk worth taking IMO in the actual situation.

I would like to acquire a Deryk Engelland-type of defenseman to play instead of Bouillon or Murray. Engo would make Parros expandable.

Subban and Diaz can become restricted free agents next summer, while Markov is slated to become an unrestricted free agent.

Parros is already the definition of expendable.

You mean like playing the useless Boullion on the PP over and over and Kostopulous before that? Is every french coach obsessed with 4th line players? Gauthier never would have signed DD, why? Because he never signed contracts during the season. The whole point of negotiating during the season is to get a discount not hand out contracts like candy.

Lars Eller, Emelin, Diaz, Tinordi, Bournival, Charles Hudon, Zachary Fucale, Dalton Thrower, Jacob De La Rose. Things were looking up under Gauthier. Also let's not forget the acquisitions of Dominic Moore and Wisniewski which had major impacts at the time. It's like MB moved into a nice freshly painted house. He didn't have a lot of work to do. Also the lowballing and treatment of Subban, what do you think that tells UFAs that want to play here? The only credit I'll give Bergevin is for Prust and sticking with the youth but if all you have to do to be a good GM is just not make any trades then every GM could be genius. Sorry hate to sound overly negative, again I'm not impressed.

So, he's basically a character player who can play physically, and happens to be darn skilled as well?

Kind of a slightly less hard-nosed but much bigger Gallagher?

A character who can light up the line he's playing, and actually have the strenght of will to pull a team to victory?

We certainly do not need that sort of players. Amirite?!

With Philly winning again, I doubt they move Simmonds for anything short of an overpayment.

not sure about play style, but to me, brolieu and tinordi are no go's unless i am blown away by a trade. their upside > whatever we could get for them AND they just so happen to be exactly what we need

That'd make up for a VERY SOFT defensive squad.

are there any underachieving prospects/young players that have high upside who might be available? i cant think of any
and im talking about low-key players that we can get for cheap, not yakupov

It's all just talk until trades are done. MB may back down again just like he did during the draft.

What were the rumors at the draft? you mean the attempted trade up in the first round?
