I just realized I'm going to miss this game. My girlfriend bought me tickets to see Michael Jackson's Cirque du soleil show on Saturday night.

I think it's time to break up with her.

Did she buy the tickets before or after the game was announced.

Has zero faith in the Eagles. Relationship status questionable.

Doesn't matter the result of the other game. It would be PHI-CAR regardless.

I was a just getting into football when the Eagles drafted Donovan, so those 5 years in the playoffs were great. But since the SB year I havent been as excited about this team other than in 2008. That loss to Arizona is still the most devastating loss imo as an Eagles fan . Im excited again.

2003 NFC championship losing to Jake freaking delhomme was the most brutal for me. At least warner was a hof qb on a tear that postseason.

Well by the time we lost to the Panthers it was our 3rd NFC Championship game loss in a row and it was almost funny at that point. I thought the loss to the Bucs the year before was much more devastating, especially since we were heavy favorites and then the Bucs went on to absolutely stomp the Raiders in the Super Bowl. Could have been us.

The Tampa bay NFC championship was the most devastating BY FAR.

I was 7 years old, and to this day that was the only time I've cried after a loss . I think it was probably doubled because it was that year that I actually got into sports, so my first real sports heartbreak

I'm used to it now, though, considering I'm a Philly fan and all.

Out of all thOse games the most memorable moment to me was fourth down against the cardinals where there was an obvious pass interference and no call.

But that really turned out to be a great game

Someone tripped Jackson if I remember correctly.

delhomme had one of the greatest super bowl performances for a quarterback , he was a beast back in the day.

Also, it didn't hurt that Gruden was the Raiders coach the previous year.

That Bucs game was the worst... Closing out the Vet with that game, and then getting stomped by the same team on MNF to open the Linc.

When Westbrook got hurt on that week 17 Saturday night game in Washington, I knew they werent making the Super Bowl. He saved their ***** so many times that year. So I wasnt devasted like when they lost to TB, NE, or Arizona. Had problems eating for weeks after those games.

The Arizona loss was so bad.

I wish I could adequately retell the story, but I have so little memory of it. Suffice it to say, I watched the game at a dive bar and didn't invite friends because, at that point, I knew it could go badly. Drank. So much.

So far as legends of "me" go, this one is up there and, obviously, my friends tell it better. While at the bar, I was offered entry into a secret society of intense military veterans. Seriously. But I left the manila envelope they passed, at the bar.

After stumbling home, I managed to open a can of Speghetti-O's. But, so far as eating them, I managed worse and they all ended-up on my chest. Meanwhile, my roommates were sober. And, I was a bit of a weight-lifter (and a vet), and they were neither. The most timid of roommates, a Steelers fan, whom I never had issue with, was the recipient of every disappointed, angry emotion I had that night.

Poor kid.

So, yeah. Forget that game.

It made me a messy, argumentative, disgusting drunk. Or, well, I'll blame it on that game.

But, that's also the magic of this year. I love this team, but entered with no expectations, and now have no anticipations. Thus, none that may be crushed. That Arizona game??? Different story.

And, oh yeah, all of this occurred in freaking Tampa, where I attended school. Oy.

I've wanted one of these for a while but could never justify paying the eBay prices. So flash forward and Black Friday passes and I discover the website and company that makes the helmets. They hand paint each helmet. The only thing is that I found this company the Sunday after Black Friday and see that they had a 40% off deal. Only problem... it ended on Saturday. So I missed my opportunity. I emailed their customer service asking if they'd extend the offer. They did one better. They told me the exact time that a code would be released on their Facebook that was 50% off. So with that I picked up the helmet and couldn't be happier. Now I just need Chip Kelly to go an autograph signing.

Enjoy the show. The beagles are going to choke. They may win cause they have a Texas boy at QB. That is one football playing state. We were there on a business trip and saw a high school game there. I thought I was at Franklin Field. The place was jumping. Of course the gentlemen's clubs were better.

I'm confused... Are you a Flyers/Cowboys fan? If so, that's not allowed.

ETA: it was really impossible for the Eagles to choke at all this year. 4-12 last year, new coach, roster TO, backup QB taking over, etc... . Playoffs are just house money, they already overachieved by a huge margin.

Nothing funnier than a Cowboys fan from the South Jersey/Philly area. A bitter one at that. The beagles? What kind of insult is that, bro?
