NEWS & NOTES

QUOTES TO NOTE

We had good back pressure and good long shifts in the O-zone where we wore them out.
They didnít have a lot of speed going through the neutral zone so we were able to stay up pretty good for the most part tonight.
- Ryan McDonagh

I could get used to this, for sure. The guys have played unbelievably in front of me the past two games.
- Cam Talbot

Our guys were focused and ready right from the start and they executed well, managed the puck well and we didnít give Nashville a whole lot.
We were able to generate quite a few and able to score two points. It was another strong game.
Talbot didnít have as much work as he did in Montreal but when he was asked to make some saves, he did.
- Alain Vigneault

Going to go ahead and call a goal for Nikita Kucherov. First NHL game for him. However, it will take an astonishingly bad effort to lose this one. That TB defense looks awful, and Ben Bishop is due to come down to earth anytime now.

FFS, send Miller to HFD if you aren't going to play him!

Also, let's go Rangers

No Stamkos or Malone. Make the most out of it.

I hope we'll win this. The things have been going the last 2 games, I'm starting to become somewhat confident. (That's not a good sign.)

Anyway, I have a day off tomorrow, so no 2nd thoughts about staying up late this time .

I'd like to say, Keep St.Louis off the board and it's a win but he's made that line his ***** for his entire career so...

I expect a win regardless. LGR

Both Pyatts are injured. Don't know why that's so funny to me.

Going to be there in Tampa with my dad and girlfriend, who's seeing her first game. Hopefully I can drive back to Orlando after seeing a win. LGR!

Any idea why the Rangers are on MSG+ and the Devils are on MSG?

Because the Knicks game in Portland is expected to begin before the Rangers game ends.

And the Knicks always get priority because of their 6 more total viewers.

The Rangers have allowed just 25 goals in the last 16 games (1.56 goals against per game) and 29 goals in the last 18 games (1.61 goals against average)

mandatory Zucca vs St. Louis comparison hype.

On a more serious note.. this is not going to be an easy match, fingers crossed for the boys to come out on top

Yep, I posted those stats in the D thread and unlike under Torts they legit looked like a top defensive team usually and not a team that Lundqvist was saving.

I'm looking forward to seeing Andrej Sustr, Tampa's giant defenseman that we scouted extensively and tried to sign.

I have to work tonight, but Lets Go Rangers!!!

I'm curious to see how Sustr plays. It also sucks that Stamkos is injured. One of my favorite players in the NHL who was absolutely dominating before he went down. It does give the Rangers a must better chance at winning though (obviously).

The Eastern conference is mediocre or as West fans would say, it sucks.
