Every experts I have researched clearly state that 4-season tires are NOT appropriate for emergency manoeuvers during winter conditions. You are basically saying arguments that could endanger people's lives if they believed you. That's irresponsible.

Luckily, the Quebec government is going to force people to have certified winter tires as early as next year, so ignorant people like yourself can't endanger their fellow citizens by driving with innapropriate tires.
the government is forcing people as of next year? please expand
Your research please expand
as for my research, it comes from countless hours of driving, so I'll go with my experience over some guy who i'm willing to bet hasn't cracked 200k km driven yet.
And I'm very sorry to tell you that opposing opinions are not necessarily irresponsible. Unless you're from some alternate planet/universe

It is safe, unless your toaster is old. There's breakers in these things preventing the classic death by toaster or hair dryer in the bathtub.

It's stated quite clearly here

Quote:
A winter tire by any other name

Even though an advertisement may claim that the tires are suitable for winter driving, if they are not marked with a specific designation they are not considered a winter tire under Québec's winter tire law.

Tires marked with the following mountain snowflake icon are recognized as acceptable winter tires:

Alternately, tires inscribed with one of the following are also acceptable, but only until December 15th, 2014, at which time only tires with the mountain snowflake icon are recognized:

Alaska
Arctic
A/T or AT
AT/S or AT-S
Blizzard
Cresta
Ice
INSA T1, INSA T2, or INSA TT77
LT
Nordic
Snow (but not mud and snow)
Stud, Studdable, Studded, or Studless
TS
Ultra grip
Ultratraction
Winter

Your "research" is nothing of the sort. That's called anecdotal evidence.

Are saying the same thing: Winter Tires are safer than All-Season tires. Your evidence just proves you have been lucky so far; not that you have been safer.

And your opinion has been proven to not only be wrong, but also a dangerous way of thinking when it comes to car safety. You are a terrible person for actually arguing in favor of a behaviour that might endanger someone's safety, while offering absolutely no evidence to support your point.

What will they think of next?
Now you'll want to tell me that there exists a vessel that can hold liquids of varying temperatures from the hottest of hot to the coldest of cold and maintain that temperature?!?!?!?

You'd still get a momentary healthy amperage of electricity. Obviously not enough to kill you, but I don't think it's anywhere "safe", and it shouldn't be a behaviour one should advocate casually.

You're trying to convince me to believe the government?
You know that they are the biggest competition to the mafia around?
If they are advocating something I'm willing to bet that there's an angle to it and they are most definitely making a cut somewhere!

It has been snowing long enough already in Ottawa that Montreal must already be getting it too. Ahead of any midnite predictions.
