Oh, this move will help us score LOTS of goals.

I've been the voice of calm reason around here, but I'm finally beginning to come around to the idea that Yeo is an idiot. I keep looking at our decent won/loss record, but they are probably skewed by Harding's wonderful goaltending. Yeo thinking that the V man is the answer to our scoring woes, or the answer to anything, strikes me as a guy who is completely out of ideas. I thought Haula looked good in the limited minutes he played. Fast ,smart, and able to handle himself quite well with the big boys.

So, fourth line of Rupp, Viellieux, and Heatley? Barf.

Does Yeo actually think that the Wild's problem is that they don't have enough low scoring grinders?

Be interesting to see how he is used. I'd hope with Zucker and Nino in heavy O-Zone start situations.

May be tough to find O zone starts against the kings.

I would think that he wont get that much minutes because you kind of have to play your top players a much as you can and Yeo is gonna suffle lines so i wouldn't be shocked if he get 11-13min..

I just want to see Haula get some minutes in the top six. If he's playing third line center with Coyle getting PP time...ugh.

You do know that it's gonna happen right? Actually i don't think that Coyle has been as bad you say and Yeo trust him. It dosen't really matter if they putt Haula in the top-6 or not, because they are gonna double sift Granlund/Broziak/Coyle..

Agreed.

Sadly I have a feeling Yeo is going to roll:

Heatley-Coyle-Pommer
Zucker-Granlund-Nino
Cooke-Brodziak-Mitchell
Rupp-Haula-Bulmer

Don't know why, but I just could see him pushing Brodziak up to the 3rd.

Its not that extreme but Coyle reminds me of Shoula.

They do things right in the system they are given but have liitle to show for it.Coaches love it but i do not see the numbers. Coyle is below .5 ppg. Closer to .33 Thats not what i want out of a top 6 guy. He has never really earned it either. He is given PP time 1st line linemates and still has poor numbers. He is a solid kid, glad we have him. But he is not finishing.

I'd like to see Haula up there. Haula is also at a +3 where Coyle is at a -9. Only Healtey is worse. It does not mean Coyle is our 2nd worst defensive forward but it does make you think.

Yeah, while Haula has 2 assist. Coyle is on that top unit, simply because he is a big body, who can get the puck fo his own's and win battles. This isn't fantasy hockey everyone do have a roal on this team and IMO +- is a biggest lie on this game. Patrick Kane was -15 at one point of this season and now +10. I don't really putt any value for that stat.

Maybe im wrong, but that is how i like to think.

Coyle has 8 assists and plays on the top lines.
Haula has 2 assist while playing on bottom ones. While being shuttled back and forth. Look at line mates practice time etc... Haula may not be the answer but i think he has a shot to fil a temporary role.

He might go back down when Mikko gets back. But he'll play until he does.

Anyone else curious why Haula is still up when he is playing on the 4th line and getting less than 10 mins a night? Not that he has been playing bad, but with players like Dowell and MacMillan available in Iowa why not bring one of them up and let Haula be the go to, every situation guy in the AHL?

Once Haula adds some strength to him this offseason he'll be one heck of an NHL player. He's got the legit speed and I think smarts to play in this league, just got to add some muscle buddy!

Agreed, I'd like to see Haula back down in the AHL getting quality time each game.

MacMillan has been a good soldier for what 4, 5 years in the AHL now? Let him play with the big boys for the rest of the season, because he's not going to get many more shots in the bigs.

Haula will likely go down when Koivu returns. I do like MacMillan though.

Yeah I fully expect Haula to return to Iowa when Mikko comes back...but I mean his ceiling I feel like is 3rd line center so playing 4th line minutes isn't really hurting him that much I don't think.

Erik Haula

Speed, smarts, offensive skill, defensively responsible, not a smurf... what's not to like?

I'm starting to lose my objectivity on this guy.

Would it be weird if I wrote a sonnet about him?

He's been really impressing me. Glad to see the former Gopher doing well. He deserves to stay when Koivu gets back.

Maybe

Praise Granlund Pominville
Niño Koivu Coyle
Zucker Haula Heatley
Cook Brodziak Fontaine
