He lost his senses for a good 5 seconds. Foligno gave him a few seconds to recover, but when Carter got up, you can tell he was woozy. Foligno caught him on the soft spot of the chin.

Good on Foligno.
He's always struck me as a guy who fights because that's what he's gotta do to keep his job as a fourth liner, not somebody who's actually good at it. The only real win on his card is when he tuned up Dubinsky, who isn't a great fighter his own self.

Good on Foligno for seeing Carter was in trouble and stopping. Love the Foligno boys.

Great punch by Foligno. Carter brought that on himself.

Its called a flash knockout. Which would still be a KO and not a TKO.

Good on Foligno to make sure Carter didn't go head first into the ice. Got a lot of respect for that kind of thing. Great sportsmanship there.

Yeah. Even seemed as he slowly let him fall too. I think the NHL could deal with fights if there's more like this.

I've gained a lot of respect for Foligno for his fighting ability and most important the respect he displayed here. Two thumbs up, it appears Carter is fine.

The punch knocked him on his ass and dazed him for a bit, but he wasn't knocked out. Hell of a right by Foligno. Also nice to see him show respect for an obviously hurt opponent.

No, he didn't. But, he looked a little bit stung after the fight. That is enough to call this fight a knockout.

Phenomenal punch by Foligno...

And respect for making sure he's okay, especially given he'd just got elbowed in the face by him...

Great punch. Classy guy and a good hockey player. M.Foligno is the closest comparable to Milan Lucic IMO. Give him a couple of years.

Was he knocked out of the game?
