I'm not saying we should goon it up and I recognize that they didn't ice McLaren but this was one of the first games I can remember ( the opener the team deflated after the parros fall) where we didn't get manhandled. Parros going after or then besting ( close) orr was great, especially when parros had that nice set up when orr declined. I think orr might be hurt, two fights since the first parros tilt including one against sesito where he was at best meh.

There has been no one more vocal in the teams need to get bigger/tougher than me. Its not perfect but I do like not getting ragdolled for once.

Considering all the Subban complaining in the Leafs PGT on their board you know Subban had a very good game tonight.. Thanks PK for ticking these guys off..

Outstanding use of Parros by Therrien.

Scrivens is playing on a much much better team now. It's no contest defensively especially. He must be in heaven playing on that team with that D.

A PGT that isn't whining about PK means that Subban played badly.

Absolutely. He's a legit top-4 the way he's playing since the start of the season, even though it still feels like he lacks confidence a bit.

Him and Gorges are top-10 in the league in d-zone corsi since the start of the year btw.

Bourque was physical tonight. We had some nice hits. I hope those with the ability to upload them will do so.

There's still no Bournvial on Tavares hit.

For all the heat Therrien got (and probably even deserved it, from me and from others), he deserves credit for the way he coached the last games. He totally outcoached Carlyle, great use of Parros, putting Moen on Pleks line when it was the time, putting Paches on the PK, etc. It's a drastic change in comparion to how he coached during the rough stretch we had.

If only he could put Emelin on the PP instead of Cube (when he plays)...

Holy hell, really Patches twirling his stick fired your team up? Not national stage, Saturday night in Montreal?

This team is in trouble.

Habs have played 13 of 27 versus the far superior Western Conference. Bruins: 5 of 27. They play each other Thursday.

A Better stat is that we've allowed 2 goals or less in 10 straight games. Very impressive.

I dont recall hearing kadri's name after the Murray pasting. Not sure if he got hurt or just backed off, but whatever the case, I was pleased with murray's game.

With this healthy lineup, its really quite impressive in terms of the offensive line options that mt has. If he chooses to do so, the habs can throw 4 lines of offensive punch. There is no true first line, but the balance is impressive right now.

Sooo... Chucky is benched for the entire 3rd, and suddenly Prust-Eller-Bourque ends up being possession monsters and a legit line.

Maybe we keep them together, and use Bournival-Galchenyuk together with Moen or Briere (depending on who doesn't play with Pleky-Gio).

I think Chuck is going to sit a game and be back for the Bruins game.

Hearing "Toronto is only a chance away from tying or having the lead" over and over again from the lovely CBC announcers is quite annoying. Montreal is only a chance away from winning this game 19-0 but it didn't happen.

Muted the game yet again after the second.

at this point i think habs can beat any team in the league - and a guy like Murray helps in the playoffs BUT until we address the size issues in our top 6 - we won't be able to beat or survive against the big skilled teams for 7 games - and yes that list includes the Bruins.

still can't go to war with DD, gionta, briere and gallagher all in top 9 for a full series. just can't

It just a good thing right now that we can potentially have Galchy and Bournival on our 4th line... MOAR depth!

Don Cherry was just on and showed some clips of Max's 2nd goal celebration and whined about it.

Then went on to show some clips of Drew Doughty, comparing to Bobby Orr none the less, saying how he thinks hes the best defenseman in the game today. The clips he was showing was essentially Doughty rushing the puck through the neutral zone/end-to-end and Don just kept praising him..

Uh huh. Not to take anything away from Doughty, he is a real solid player... Subban has almost double the points and is just as good defensively.

People like to blame Eller, but Galchenyuk hasn't been moving his feet much the past few games. However, it's okay he's still young and he was still generating opportunities. If the game was 4-1 going into the 3rd I'm Therrien wouldn't have benched. He was just being cautious and wanted to secure the win.

Not sure about that. Therrien metionned he was benched because of his penalty in the offensive zone, but that it's part of the process and that he's really confident that Galchenyuk will bounce back next game.

A line of Bournival-Galchenyuk-Briere/Moen might be worth trying out if Prust-Eller-Bourque can keep it up, which they won't because Bourque has 4 floater games for every good game.
