Lights out.

He's been outstanding, it's hard to call him our MVP though with the way the Markov-Subban pairing is playing and with Patches now on fire and Plekanec being gangsta as ****.

Seen a lot of games in Montreal where the Habs were the better team, especially against the Leafs and they don't win, because they can't finish.

Tonight they finished....and finished strong.
Basically exactly how I feel

That's Gunnarson's problem.

Gotta give props to Gallagher as well, him being put on the Pacioretty line is what sparked both Patches and DD to playing better.

Not to mention he's the new troll king of the Habs.

For sure. Meant to have him in there.

He's the definition of a spark plug.

Yep. It does. Your Leafs kill it...it dictates the rest of the game too. But then, it doesn't. A team leads 2-0 and gets to work on 4 PK's in the 3rd period and the opponent score 4 times....well those PK's in the 3rd dicate the game too.

It's all about the result. Not about a penalty called or not.

Abby would be lucky if he had 1/4 the offensive awareness that Gallagher has. Plus abby from view on him is more fake tough throwing out hits that don't always do a bit. He is a good forechecker don't get me wrong. But Gallagher is on a whole other level. He has the offensive chop's to play top 6 in addition to being a disruptive player.

I didn't see gallagher do anything like marchand either just play hard and disrupt. So I would say in my limited viewing I like him better not to say he can't or doesn't do that type of stuff but nothing tonight he did from what I saw was punk level like that guy.

Gallagher scored 40+ goals multiple times in Junior and is a tank in the gym. Having a dad who is a strength and conditioning coach helps of course. We're very lucky to have him, best 5th round pick I can recall in quite some time. If he was 6'3" 210 lbs he woud have been a top 10 pick without a doubt.

As for being pest. He just plays hard, doesn't back down from anyone and chirps a lot on the ice. People don't like that normally considering he's always standing in front of the net or physically in it haha. If every player on any taem played as hard as him they'd win the cup without a doubt.

^Not to mention we out-toughed them.

Also I just got banned from the Leafs board for quoting the rule book.

Look man Leafs fans/players are more up in arms about this because of what happened in Pittsburgh then anything and Habs fans would be too. I think the right call was made tonight but it was a lot more harmless than what Malkin did to score a goal against the Leafs literally pushing a goalie into the net. Hence the frustration. Also to people saying the Leafs get ref bias??? Again, look at the Malkin goal...you can throw that conspiracy out the window.

That goal celebration is pure do*che btw. Can't believe people like that phoney stuff.

Just noticed the Toronto Sports Network turned off the comments feature in the Habs vs Leafs article.
