What would you give up to have this great pick and take Jack Johnson?

Personally I think Burke would be a fool to give up a chance to take such a marketable player such as JJ. Imagine for years to come when this kid is Captain of the US Olympic teams and herlded as a guy like Scott Stevens killing it at the blueline.

At this point, I don't think we have anything that would fetch the pick. Burke is reportedly looking for established NHL players, something we are sorely lacking at this point. I'd say that if the number two is going anywhere its to a team with a loaded NHL roster and a bare cupboard farm team.

They want an established player.. we don't have one they'd want that we could part with. I mean, this is the Ducks, The Kings don't trade them good players unless they have an overwhelming desire to get bitten in the @ss.

Besides, the Kings are looking pretty good with their Young D-Men at this point. Petiot, Baier, Gleason, Corvo is still pretty young (although I still like don't that we kept him - but I'll probably take that to grave).

I would be very surprised if the Ducks are able to get a good established player for the 2nd overall pick. Especially how this years FA market is going to look.

Have the Kings ever had a transaction with the Ducks? I can't seem to recall if they have or not.

OK,well here's my thought about this issue that I'm sure nobody will agree with.

Burke sez he's going to a fast-paced offensive game.

Send him Visnovsky...he's a proven gem and with the games rules will become a more effective player. While I wouldn't want to be the boadcast team. it would still give them a prime asset, although we'd need to sincerely add to the mix to get the 2nd.

Add Petiot or Bair along with the 11th.

Be ready to toss in some other asset prospect if needed.

So why Rocket!?

Why in hell deal your best puck moving/playmaking dman?!!

Well that's cuz I'd replace him with Niedermayer or Pronger.

I'd trade my number 2 from earlier this morning to the Ducks for their number 2.

I hope they like cashews.

So send Visnovsky, Petiot/Baier, AND our 1st for their 1st? Are you kidding me!?

The most I'd offer is Grebeshkov and our 1st for their 1st, and even that is gross overpayment.

I'd rather try to move to pick 3 or 4, and draft someone like Kopitar.

I wouldn't mind trading Yanick Lehoux,Jens Karlsson, and David Steckel to the Carolina Hurricanes to try and get the #3 pick to draft :Benoit Pouliot.

They wouldn't take that offer. They'd ask for Brown or Cammalleri plus.
