Why Boro? Id rather see Cowen down than Boro to be honest.

Edit: Forgot that Cowen is on a one way.

About money brah. Boro has a two-way, Cowen does not. And they probably don't wanna put Gryba on waivers (who knows why though).

Boro played 11 min last night and Grant hasn't been great. the writing was on the wall

At least Eugene saves some money with this.

Don't agree with sending Boro down at all... also why would they give the captaincy to Hoffman then call him up?

Old captain in Bingo was Boro. They swapped captains.

That really isn't too puzzling. Bingo has a team and Hoffman is a leader on it. Luke acknowledged that with the captaincy.

The Ottawa Senators are an organization looking for answers, and they are going to try to help the big club by giving one of Bingo's best players a shot.

It's kind of a natural progression.

Glad to see hoffman called up. Does this mean zibby is back at center? Probably good for the long run but I really thought he was carrying the spezza line and dony want to see him back playing 4th line mins

Would of liked to keep grant up and scratched greening or condra.

Why would they take the C away from Boro is my question.

I think that defensive mistake by Boro (on the third goal where he left his position to go chase a player high in the zone) last night sealed his fate. It's too bad though, as I thought Boro brought something different to the table, a physicality that would have made Kassian redundant and releasable.

Not too excited to see Zibby back as 3C. Would of been interesting to see how Hoffman works in a line with Spezza and Zibby.

Hoffman - Turris - Ryan
MacArthur - Spezza - Michalek
Greening - Zibanejad - Condra
Conacher - Smith - Neil

Spezza needs serious help, and Mac has been a top 3 possession and two-way winger in the league this year.

Sooooo, I imagine:

Mac - Turris - Ryan <- the MoToR line!
Hoff - Spezza - Michalek
Greening - Ziba - Condra
Conacher - Smith - Neil <- although McStache probably loves Greening here

edit: lol@simultaneous line up projections

It isn't so bad if they put Conacher with him. It would give us a third line that could actually put up points.

Michalek-Spezza-Hoffman
MacArthur-Turris-Ryan
Conacher-Zibanejad-Condra
Greening-Smith Neil

i completely agree, zibby was just starting to gel with spezza and just started to look comfortable on the wing, however with grant going down we only have 4 centers, unless im missing someone off the top of my head

Same. Also like conachar smith zibby for their limited time together.

I don't think we have enough skilled wingers to allow zibby to thrive in the bottom 6.

Would be great to see spezza ice time reduced greatly but I doubt it happens.

Like others have said, I would've rather they waive greening or condra then send down boro or grant for that matter. Grant has been better than both of those guys and considering the only reason condra is in the NHL is for his defensive game, that's saying alot

Boro being sent down while that ****ing goof Gryba gets to stick around is horse ****. Boro brought attitude to our blueline. Ugh. This actually pisses me off.

I like it. Zibby can play centre again (possibly) and Hoffman has earned a regular season look.

One-way/two-way has nothing to do with waiver exemption.

Boro down for $ as we're carry 8 D.

Ya and corvo has looked good. We all knew cowen was getting back in the line up and now with corvo cemmenting a spot someone was going down. The guy on a 2 way makes thr most sense.
