Murray needed to do something to get this going and Hoffman has played well.

I think this is just a precursor of something much bigger to come, reason being Grant was doing a solid job and Zibby was looking very good on the wing.

So why create a hole at center potentially forcing Zibby back to a 3rd line role?

Surely it can't be just to give Hoffman an opportunity, that doesn't make sense.

I have to think Murray has a deal pending and wants a look at Hoffman prior to pulling the trigger.

Boro will be back, this move is just temporary IMO.

So you think we have a move for a center? Or are we moving out a winger for a dman and calling up pageau and seeing if hoffman can fill the winger on the potential moves shoes?

Thank you I was just about to post this.

The last two games it became real apparent that Boro still needs to be in the AHL.

Like these lines. Good for mac for shaking it up, takes balls to seperate your best line even if its a little late.

Responsible defending, big , good skater. As long as he is not out for many face offs should be fine its not like that line will see more then 10 mins anyways

Wow almost exactly what we wanted. Zibanejad stays top 6 and Hoffman gets a shot at playing with top 6. While Michalek gets demoted to the third line.

Conacher is done with the sens, he played well on that second line in the past but won't get another shot. Time to trade him before he has no value left.

Les duos ce matin: Cowen-Karlsson, Wiercioch-Gryba, Phillips-Corvo. Méthot toujours absent. #Sens #ledroit

I really hope they wont sit Corvo when Methot returns. He deserves to play and im still baffled that Cowen gets time with Karlsson. Keep Cowen as far away from Karlsson you can get.

I know hes there cause Methot is out but he still doesn't deserve playing in the first pairing.

I agree that calling up Ceci is a mistake. I'd rather see someone like Claesson.
Yeah, I really like Grant. He knows his role and doesn't try to be anything more.

As for the defense, I hope we see Claesson (2011) and Wideman (2009) up here by the end of the season.

Greening was a big, dominant centre in college, we just converted him to wing when he graduated. I remember there was a lot of uncertainty when he graduated, as he was considering going to free agency like Schultz. He was a big, strong, fast centre, and apparently a lot of teams were interested.

The sens should just demote the entire nhl team to the ahl and recall the entire ahl team to the nhl. It can't hurt to at least try it for a game or two.

For giggles I tried to do it on Capgeek. They only let you bury 4 players

I like these lines too. I would even interchange any of the six in the top two lines and probably still like the look of them. I still find it hard to see how this will address our main problem - D.

Like most of you I like these lines. I'm a big Spezza fan but can see he hasn't played consistently well this season. If we were winning with the Turris line then it would be fine to keep them together but the team needs a spark and hopefully Mac can help Spezza find more consistency and it can build from there.

Hope Hoffman makes the best of this opportunity and shows the big club what he can do. He's been great down in Bingo.

Disappointing to see Boro sent down. Understandable though.
