- UPCOMING SCHEDULE -

NOTE : Regarding LARGE SIZE IMAGES / YELLOW RE-SIZE IMAGE BARS ABOVE PICS, let me offer up one nice little suggestion ...
This will get rid of those pesky yellow resize bars over the top of some larger pictures ... as they annoy the hell out of me and maybe they do you also ?
- Go into/click on your "USER CP" {control Panel} up top left in the red bars
- on the left under 'Settings & Options' click on "Edit Options"
- scroll down to 'Thread Display Options', and then 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- click on the 'Drop Down List Box' over on the Right of 'Please Select the Resize Mode'
- select it to "KEEP ORIGINAL SIZE"
- SAVE your selections !
There ... now don't that look MUCH BETTER

Brown-Stoll-Williams... I'll be shocked if that line accomplishes anything.

Just terrible. Why would he break up Kopitar and Williams? Then promote Stoll to the second line center role. And on top of all that, Brown's still in the top six.

And just because they practiced together, doesn't mean they'll play together, Sutter did that earlier this year, putting Carter on the first line and they didn't play together that night. Makes no sense splitting up two forwards from each line (Williams/Kopi and Carter/Richards) that work so well together.
When the Kings haven't scored and it's midway thru the 2nd, he'll l change 'em up again. Doesn't that make the Blues job easier by putting both Kopi and Carter on one line, it makes it much easier for them to play their D and shutdown players vs that line. That's actually sometinhg Hitch mentioned last year, that have threats on each of the top 2 lines make it hard to match up vs the Kings.
not tonight it won't...

Jon Rosen ‏@lakingsinsider 11m
Sutter confirmed Frattin will dress tonight. "Quite honest, I’m not waiting around for somebody to find his timing, though," he said.

Jon Rosen ‏@lakingsinsider 34m
@hosting4less @LAKings adjustments were made to "find some guys who can keep up with Kopi," per DS this morning. Will have quotes up soon.

Williams is hardly a slacker...that line works the puck well in the O zone. And I have't noticed that Williams slows that line down, he's usually the pug hog, the energy guy. That comment makes no sense.

Terry Murray has a line-blender voodoo doll of Sutter I think.

I'd say there's a 90% chance that no one tries to carry the puck over the line and instead everyone just says "**** it" and we go back to the dump-and-obliterate grinding simple hockey that's more effective than us trying to be too cute. Blues won't let us be crafty, anyway.

The Kings won by being a forechecking grindy team. They were built for that. I don't understand why they've been trying to be a finesse team lately when their talent isn't that.

Well, imho, we honestly didn't have the personnel to fully outskill our opponents in the past. This year, there are some teams we're just clearly 'better' than (Calgary for example) from top to bottom. On one hand, I like that we try to emphasize puck movement, possession, and creativity against those opponents; on the other, we tend to be TOO cute and get away from the workmanship that allows us to win in different situations. As a result, we've coughed up far too many points to 'lesser' opponents when the work ethic/execution isn't there because parity ensures that you will be punished when you take a night off. Sucks on the micro-scale as in we lost the game, but my only big-picture worry there is the lazy habits that creep in when you play sloppy hockey.

I guess the silver lining there is that our potential playoff matchups and our opponent tonight don't allow that BS.

Pretty brutal line Combos....Brown still in the top six ?

I see the thinking behind it, but man....

Stoll second line Center ?

I am thinking those lines don't make it out of the first period intact.

His game does translate well to the IR so you do have a point. I just thought he deserved a couple shifts in the big leagues, something to tell his kids about.

Ha, true. He's probably mind-****ing Ken Hitchcock.

...meanwhile, while we drive ourselves crazy trying to figure it out, Hitchcock sits back eating popcorn or a full pig going "********, Darryl!" and game plans as normal only to realize DS IS, in fact, THAT crazy and the starting lineup is Carcillo-Kopitar-Martinez, Doughty-Mitchell, and Martin Jones.

Really looking forward to this one. Sharks destroyed the Blues last Friday, so both teams coming off losses should make for a decent game. Good chance it's low scoring but who knows. Lack of finish is worrisome. It should've been 5-0 Kings after the 1st period against the Flames.

Prediction: 3-1 Kings.

The last time Brown and Stoll played together (with the Pro's Pro) they had so much success together, it's obvious Sutter is trying to re-find that unforgettable line.
