Funny isn't it? Spezza has been outpreforming Turris the past big stretch of games with inferior wingers yet people have been tearing him to shreds while getting all wet over Kyle.

Huge week for us with 3 games against divisional opponents. We really need a sweep to make some ground on Toronto and Tampa and keep Florida further down below us.

Toronto has the hardest schedule coming up. Shark, Stars, Bruins, Kings, Blues, Hawks, Pens in the next 14 days.

this is actually a big 5 game stretch in terms of being a playoff team

we have 2 winnable games (florida, buffalo)
3 games vs teams ahead of us in playoff standings (tampa, toronto, philly)

ottawa needs to try to get atleast 7 points out of these 5 games, to make some progress in the right direction and start closing the gap on the wild card spot

I'm looking at it like a new season starting tonight, all the Alfie stuff has been laid to rest, its time to start playing some hockey! love the fact they brought up Hoffman and are actually gonna play him on a top line instead of throwing him in on the fourth line! First win of a long streak starts tonight!!! GO SENS GO!!!

Methot is most likely playing, but will remain a game time decision. Anderson starts.

Why the hell is Anderson starting. PM is a moron. Ofcourse he is going to win. Just like his last win. A terrible under 900 save percentage performance.

then he will start next game and he will blow it and this team will continue to spiral.

This team needs freaken stability.

WHAT AN EFFING JOKE this guy is.

"THE BEST PLAYERS PLAY!!!"

PM is a Joke.

I'll be streaming today's game. If the DET game is available (it was blacked out in my area at the time) I'll show that following the FLA game for anyone who missed it.

He is serious in case you are wondering.

There is no point in arguing what goalie should start. Neither goalie is going to win us games anymore.

It certainly isn't about the goalie with this team right now. One might give a better chance than the other on any given night, but realistically speaking until the team in front of them starts playing better it doesn't make much of a difference.

NOW, people are starting to see it.

Unless this team gets better in their own end, and stop with the dumb mistakes at inopportune times. It doesn't matter if Lehner is posting .950 and Anderson is posting .750. We're going to lose. We give up way too many easy scoring opportunities to the other team. Like tap in goals and one-timers.

Prepubescent tone aside, what seems to be happening here is Mac is just gonna let them play if they win. Lehner did not. He faced 22 total shots on Sunday and posted an .864 sv% thus he will not start. If Anderson does the same tonight, we'll likely see Lehner in the next game. Seems fair to me.

Ladies and gentlemen, a Sens fan who would be UPSET if the Senators won, because it would mean that "his guy" wouldn't play the next game.

Wow.

I'm not a huge fan of the "if you win, you're in" coaching strategy. But, if we win then that's all that matters. Maybe PM thinks it'll be good for Andy's confidence.

Color me surprised. Didn't know Phillips 'first NHL goal was as a forward

Learn something new everyday!

Happy 1100th game Big Rig!
