The 2007 draft is the best thing to happen to this organization in the last 2 decades!

We would be closer to the Cup if Gainey did not mess up with the **** Gomez's trade.

but having mcdo in the lineup would mean winning a few more games and not drafting gally. but it could mean maybe drafting trouba ZOMG :datdefense:

I'm sure Galchenyuk played well because of Therrien. Glachenyuk played well because he is good, Therrien benched him because he's a bad coach.

Not a fun game to watch, we got outplayed 40 minutes but we manage to finally win a game by playing 15 minutes, something we didn't do in the last few years. That means this teams has guts and skills. If next year we replace Gionta with a bigger winger and one of Tinordi or Beaulieu have a good season we are going to be serious contenders.

I'd like to make my mea culpa on Price, i was hard on him last year because he had a lot of issues but the hiring of Whaite as made wonders on him. He is just not the same goalie than last year. Much more calm and poised. If he doesn't get the net at Sotchi it will be a disgrace.

You don't play well, you get benched. That's how it should work and there should be no exceptions to the rule. Therrien was entirely right to sit him down.

Exactly. For all his flaws, Therrien is great at pushing young players to play their best. Plus hes harsh on soft play
Excuse me, SOFF play

MT has got everyone in our lineup playing some of their best hockey that I've seen in a long time and they're all doing it at the same time. That in itself is a feat.

Besides his bad SO decisions there's really not much you can fault him for. Heck, even during our 'slump' we were still pulling in points.

Take note team Canada!

1. Stops Jagr from reaching in from behind the next and stuffing in a goal with his massive reach in the 1st period. Saved a sure goal!

2. Puts his stick in exactly the right position by Price's head and stops another sure goal.

I think I missed one when he deflected a puck that was heading for the open side of the net late in the second as well.

By the end of the hockey year, PK will have

1. A gold Olympic medal
2. 2 Norris Throphies
3. New 8 year @ $8 million per contract

Not a bad year PK...

Let's not get ahead of ourselves and jinx the dude.

Nice to see the Habs putting up some wins and taking over one of the 3 top spots in the division.

Exactly. Take Note team Canada. Montreal won this game on the play of Subban (just outstanding, everygame, I mean how can anyone doubt this kid?) and of Price. Price made all the Key saves (except 2, those were all Subban).

These two stole the game for us.

lol I get it that some of you are excited, but Chucky was nowhere to be seen apart from his goal. He's still not playing well enough imho.

Arpon basu has the exact quotes from Therrien about subban, it's like ten tweets. I would post them but I am on my iPad.

It's worth reading the entire quote, he basically said subban is the main reason the team is winning, couldn't have praised him more.

Unfortunately, we've seen that there is indeed an exception to this "rule", which has been my biggest problem. Either way though, good win for the Habs

Time to play him as a defenseman while giving him 6 minutes of playing time, amirite?

while he wasn't playing to the top of his game (no one in our lineup was) he at least was forechecking well, and getting shots off.
