All in all an excellent performance save for the last 5 minutes starting with the penalty committed by Fraser and the inability by the Kings to get the puck out of their own end that led to the 2nd goal (thanks to Captain Brown).

Vey should be in against the Ducks. The Ducks defense is woeful and they have some soft centers down the middle after Getzlaf.

Oh well, if that is the most we can gripe about, good win for the Kings. Tomorrow will be tough on a back to back but I got a good feeling.
Seems like someone got in his ear and told him to ham it up like the terrible arena announcer the Ducks used in the past (not sure if they still employ the same guy).

Damn I miss David Courtney...

I think it's about time that we send Pearson back down and call up a dman (Bodnarchuk hopefully). It doesn't make sense to have 3 forwards as a HS.

TT with his 4th GWG of the year leads the team. He really is much better in a top 6 role with a skilled center.

And NHL .com went with the Holy Toffoli lead in caption

http://www.nhl.com/index.html

Best game Muzzin's played this year, good to see that against a top team.

Need to lock in down late in the game, have to work on that.

I really missed Vey, he's been so impressive and more comfortable with every shift. Fraser...not much left to say.

No post game from Sutter
Helene Elliott ‏@helenenothelen 15m
Kings say Sutter "had to depart" without speaking to reporters. Team spokesman said not a family situation "to my knowledge."

Onto to 2 more tomorrow vs the Ducks

I agree, that way Pearson can play 20+ mins a night and work on his game.

He got a decent cup of coffee.

That is the Jake Muzzin I want to see from now on. Does anyone think Regehr misses any time? He missed a decent chunk tonight when he hurt his wrist.

I missed the beginning of the game, but he was paired with Amart to. Was that a change after he was "banged up" to limit his mins? Or was it like that at the beginning of the game?

Rookie scoring, Toffoli in a 4 way tie for 9th with 10-13 games less than most.

He was paired with Voynov to limit both their minutes.

Always nice to watch the Kings beat the Blues. Plenty of that happening lately (15 of 18!).

Well another measuring stick game and whataya know, the Kings measure up pretty well.

Looking forward to seeing how the Kings play tomorrow night. They should be fine given their play against San Jose, which is a much better team than Anaheim.

And LOL at the Professor comparing the US to Canada: "Well I guess there's always a rivalry between Canada and the US. Whether it be the World Juniors, Healthcare Systems, or holidays."

Fraser is such trash. Expected the loss when I saw he was playing but, try as he might, they wound up pulling it out in spite of him.

He shouldn't touch the ice for the Kings ever again. No joke. He is less talented than Vey and, quite honestly, brings nothing to the table that Vey doesn't. I mean, I'm sure Vey can get punched in the face just as much as Fraser can.

I'll take Vey's growing pains over Fraser's complete stupidity.

Good point. Kid can been taking at least a penalty a game for what seemed like ages.

Maybe he had Stoll's reputation to uphold?

I missed this one tonight unfortunately, can anyone elaborate on the Fraser shenanigans towards the end? I gather it was a stupid penalty of some sort? Thanks.

He got goaded into a slashing penalty in the offensive zone late in the game.

Just got back from the game. Some Jackhole was yelling out Blues Fans Suck and then they scored. Idiot.

Anyway, Scrivens looked great. I thought AMart was getting thrown around quite a bit and had problems staying vertical but he wouldn't quit and kept coming back.

Carter looked good, Toffoli looks like he is getting smarter every game.

Muffin had a few well times hits and seems to be improving.

And good show by the Ice Girl that fell and got up and waved to the crowd during intermission

Up 3-0 takes an a slashing penalty in the offensive zone not even sure the puck was around just some contact in front of the net.

What I liked.

Stoll: paid too much for a 3rd/4th line center.... Steal at 2nd line center!!!

Lineup was balanced. At least hitter/big guy (King) per line. At least one person capable of scoring in top 3 lines. Clifford/Frattin even had some chances early on. Throw Vey in there 13/57/21 and 4 lines will have a chance to score.
Carter: robbed by post.
73: 2 goals
28: 1 goal
13/21 chance early on
Every line was involved in the offense

The Kings also tried passes instead of just peppering the goalie. They didn't really connect, keep with it ... it will come.

Clean up the play at the end of games and gtg

Any chance we see this lineup ever again? New line up tomorrow?

Scrivens is like, really good. Should have re-signed him to an extra year before this year started
