The Isles waived PMB because they wanted to make room for Strome. They can't add another guy now because the roster is maxed out.

The Isles look like they are finally done with the PMB and Regin experiments. They were both stop gap signings who were brought in as placeholders for Nelson and Strome so why would they acquire another player to 'block' them now when it looks like both are going to get their chance?

If Snow makes a deal, I would hope it's for help on the blue line or goaltending (looks like the Isles are committed to seeing what Poulin and Nilsson are all about).

The point for them would be to dump Brunner at the same time.

Given their performance this year, the fact that Brunner has another year on his deal is a negative. No thanks from the Isles.

Bouchard is a bit older than Brunner, but I could see the Devils taking it for leadership reasons. Although, the Isles sent down Bouchard because they want to make room for strome.

with Marty, Jagr, Sal, Elias and Greene, I think were ok for veteran leadership

If we wanted PMB we would have claimed him.

And he comes a heck of a lot cheaper than Brunner.

Brunners been wearing a Devils sweater for 2 months

You're not the only one looking to deal him though at this point I think most Devil fans here want him gone already.

I would give him at least this year and if it does doesn't work out they can move him next year

Experience does not equal leadership. PMB has been around a while, but I see no signs that other players view him as a leader of any kind.

His strong points are that his agent was smart enough to swindle Garth Snow into a contract, that he is no longer on the Island, and that he has a very clever way of avoiding getting hit whenever he is on the ice.
