Personally I'd much rather go after a vet we know will get the job done like Campbell, Erhoff, markov, etc. but if not a gamble like this would make sense, wouldn't be my first choice, but it'd be a move I can understand and get behind.

I dont believe Tallon is interested in moving Campbell at all. Based on the rumors, Tallon wants to keep him so the young guys coming up have someone to learn from. And while most teams wouldnt like Campbell's contract but to Florida (who's a cap floor team right now), that contract is actually valuable to them.

Separately, I honestly dont see MTL moving Markov and I would doubt with how long Ehrhoff is signed for that the Sabres move him either.

Any interest from Florida in Grossmann?

Would Kulikov for Ryan Wilson straight-up be fair?

No, not with how the injuries with Wilson have been the last 2 yrs. He's currently injured right so you cant even trade him I would think.

Drew Shore the Denver native would be even better. I thought he showed well last year in the few games I saw. Surprised he is in the minors this year though.

Aggressive mistakes(mentioned above)? They're brain farts, not aggression. He can't hit the net on a slapper to save his life, he refuses to use his much better wrister, he makes incredibly poor blind passed that end up as goals against, and he can be found out of position too often.

Please, anyone, take him.

Nice to see more honesty and less homery.

Probably not related, but the Leafs did waive a player today.

Its possible they are making room for a move.

Big news. My guess is the Avs make the most sense.

Listen to the podcast from today. Around 8 minutes or so, they start talking about Kulikov. Marek said the two teams he heard last night were most interested were Washington and Colorado. They mentioned the pressure may be coming from above Tallon to move Kulikov, but not sure how serious that is.

This is becoming one of those rumors that just makes too much sense to happen.

Rumors start about a week ago that McGinn could be traded. And that the Avs are looking for a Dman.

Then the Kulikov rumors start to pick up a little more in the last few days.

Both guys have close to similar value, and both fill needs for each team.

Just makes to much sense to happen. Thought personally I hope it does. I think Kuli has a tonne of potential still, and would be a solid addition to the Avs blue-line once Foote and Roy get a hold of him.

It would need to be expanded a little from just McGinn/Kulikov though. The Avs would need a 3rd line checker to replace McGinn, and I suspect the Panthers would need a #4/5 Dman to replace Kulikov. Either in the same deal, or separate deals with other teams.

Something like McGinn + Wilson for Kulikov + Winchester. Or McGinn + Barrie for Kulikov + Mathias.

if washington then probably something around brouwer. tallon had him in chicago and RW is our weakest position.

and if colorado, then mcginn and a D (hopefully either elliott or barrie). elliott was one of my favorite players in that draft so id welcome him.

I hope we don't move Elliott or Barrie, wouldn't be surprised if either ended up better than Kulikov.

I'd do something around McGinn and Kulikov though, would want Shore back as well.

My favourite offer thus far (as an Avs fan) is McGinn + Wilson for Kulikov + Shore. I think it'll bode well for both teams and the players involved as well. Not too sure what Panthers fans think of this offer though. Or fans of other teams not an Avs fan. Thoughts?

Benoit? He's a similar player to kulikov with less raw talent but also without the brainfarts. He or Wilson are probably the best NHL dmen we can move at this point.

Erat is also a natural right winger

All the other teams need to back off and get their own Kulikov. Our QMJHL hivemind needs him in Denver.

Id like to keep Elliot and/or Barrie too but I cant imagine Tallon wouldnt at least ask for either one back in return. Wilson doesnt fit at all value wise.
I know I wouldnt want him. And I like Wilson.

I'd prefer Matthias or Shore to Kopecky if that still works.

As soon as he is cleared to play, that deal is made. Value is pretty even.
