Until we manage two wins in a row, I'll also reserve judgement. And this wasn't a decisive win from my point of view. Andy had to be very good for us to pull this one out.

Let's see how we do against the Bolts.

not odd at all lol. Half of Florida's team aren't NHLers

The panthers really need a reliable backup. They are playing thomas way too much. They are not going to go far this season if they keep on playing a 40 year old.

We were playing the worst team in the league outside of Buffalo. MacLean could test things out without worrying too much about the results.

Let me put your mind at ease: they aren't going to go far this season no matter who is in net for them.

Panthers have no pressure to perform right now and next season, there gonna let their boy just play and play the minutes and become experienced vets, and then go all in.

Won't work against good teams. Condra will go back to the 4th line against Tampa for sure.

How did we play today? I missed the game. In particular how did Cowen do?

Spezza has been turrible at puck possession… having Condra on his line is good

Wanna bet he remains on the top line for less than two shifts against Tampa if at all?

With Mac as the coach, I wouldn't even bet Ryan staying with Turris

just saying it's a good idea

With Hoffman up the ice time was more evenly distributed tonight... made for better zing in the forward lines. Seems the defense didn't do too bad either.

Seriously.

Why did we bring Corvo back if we aren't going to use him on the PP?

All 4 centers played roughy 16 minutes. We always look beter when we roll 4 lines. Rare though as we are seldom up in a game to be able todo it.

Another positive note about tonight's game: it's the 9th straight game that Kassian has spent in the press box.

Say what you want about Maclean's decisions this year, that's on the "+" side of the ledger.

Phillips should be behind Karlsson and Corvo, though... at least IMO.

Hopefully it'll all even out as the season progresses.

Still took him too long to make said decision though.

Yeah I think they're going to be a lot more competitive with this lineup, or at the very least Spezza's line won't get shelled every game because its him and a couple of bottom 6 wingers.

Also I think Michalek belongs in the bottom 6 at this point. He has been pretty darn bad this year.

I'll take the win for what it is. 2 points.
Regardless of the fact that it was against the Panthers I want those 2 points.
We need them, we should have them, we got them.
Corvo- wow, for a guy who couldn't wait to be traded/ leave town I think he likes us he really likes us- keep moving those feet Joe. We're starting to like you too.
Maybe this team needs baby steps in the confidence dept. and I really liked the compete level from Anderson after getting burned for 2.
So............
macro- huzzah we beat the Panthers.
Micro-maybe we're onto something......I like those radical line changes. Let the scraps score. It's good for us as a TEAM.
