Likely just the # of tickets sold, not the amount of people there.

The Ladies of Florida apparently do not appreciate Andy's need to hydrate.

Outside of the early game where they took two penalties which were very, very soft, if not undeserved, Ottawa looked decent last night. Though to be honest they were playing arguably the worst team in the league. The line combos looked better though I'd still prefer Zibanejad up with Mac and Spez as he was just starting to develop chemistry with Spezza, and Mac is a welcome addition to that line. Hoffman looked good -- man he is really fast. I think once he and Turris have a bit more time together they'll start clicking and Hoffman will get rid of the nerves a bit (though Turris hasn't looked great of late, a bit lost and maybe pressing because of the struggles).

Defensively I don't know how one could think that Cowen had a decent game besides the assist. He still looks lethargic and lost on the back-end and was burned multiple times. He's very concerning not just because of the struggles, but because of his attitude (at least it seems that way, no way to know for sure).

Andy looked great and definitely made some huge saves to give the team a chance to win. This is the Andy we're used to seeing and hopefully he can gain some confidence and build on this performance.

Tampa is there for the taking as they've struggled of late. Hoping for a win leading up to, IMO, one of the most important games of the season on Saturday.

This is the start of a 6-game winning streak, book it! (knock on wood)

And Hoffman was involved at least. He didn't really do anything with the puck and was weak on the boards, but gets the benefit of the doubt since it's his first game of the year. His speed can create some chances and he has the shot to bury the puck. Not great tonighr, but he has a good chance of sticking.

Corvo played good. Got some good shots through, lead the break out and was efficient. Reminded me of his days when he was really good.

Karlsson. Not a great production game, but that godly confidence and puck rushing skill is id say 100% back. His defense has pretty much got back to Norris season normal.

I'm one of Cowen / Michalek's biggest supporters, but Milan should be traded and Cowen benched (again) We really could really use Milan's money for a back end upgrade, and he's very tradeable considering the expiring deal. We could get him for a similar guy on the back end to see if there's a fit early. Cowen gets the benefit of the doubt, but how stupid was that decision to hold out after you miss almost the whole year previous. Really wish he hadn't, but he's still going to be a top 4 guy.
Milo isn't very tradeable this early in the season considering he is being paid $6M this year.

Actually thought he played pretty well last night with Zibby, maybe he needs to be away from Spezza.

Cowen was ok, he just needs to play in the 5/6 slot until he gains his confidence, sitting him won't make him better.

Considering who the team is playing in the next 5 games, and their position in the standings... they need to win 6 in a row or at the very least 5 of 6, with Toronto being a must win, in order to have a sniff at the playoffs.

Tampa, Toronto, Philly, Buffalo x 2.

They need to get this done.

I have next to no confidence this will happen.

Let's see how we do against the Bolts.
I agree with the more than 1-in-a-row comment, but think the Sens did dominate the Panthers for the most part.

Yes Andy made some big saves when it was 2-0, but Thomas faced 45 shots and had he not been good this game was a blowout.

With TO on a 5 game winless streak and having a really tough schedule in December they may not be the team to catch.

I think if the Sens go 4 & 2 over the next 6 games they will be close to the last wild card spot.

Agree on the penalty part, but Craig didn't look very good on the first goal and though it was a good shot on the 2nd one he didn't challenge he waited for the shot.

Overall Craig has to be better if the Sens are going to start stringing wins together.

Anderson is not putting his paddle down on close plays from the corner, and wrap arounds.

I really liked the lines last night, the Hoffman call up forced MacLean to become a three offensive line, one shutdown line team. I LOVE IT !!!! I am stunned at how well MacArthur is playing, you didn't notice that Turris and Ryan were even on the ice last night and the Spezza line was excellent ? Bet there are 29 GM's in the league going WOW we should of signed him. Just another reason why you shouldn't give up on guys with talent too soon. #16

Upon some reflection over the night. I'm still a little troubled by the performance.

1. I'm guessing Ryan has the flu. He was a ghost, look tired and played the lowest minutes of the season.

2. Our forwards need to be scoring on the PP. We were playing against one of the worst teams in the league and the only PP goal we managed was a fluky knee bounce.

3. We need to see better execution of scoring chances. Goals like Ryan's should have been happening all game. No reason this game couldn't have been 7-2.

4. Defense played much much better this game.

5. Anderson played great after the 2 PP goals.

That would explain his lack of celebration after his goal.
