Mika Zibanejad to Nashville Predators

What would Nashville have that Ottawa is interested in?

Nashville needs more Right handed shots and Zibanejad looks to be a very good player that we could build around.

I'd take Josi and Forsberg.

Why do we need Josi, Wier and him are very similar.

And its not enough to downgrade to Filip imo

Josi is the obvious candidate.

Mike Fisher, Klein + 2015 1st.

increases ottawa's chances at MacDavid. gives us a good decent replacement for zibby, and we have more centers that can score down in bingo, and improves our overall defence.

Dude, I was one of Fisher's biggest fans here in Ottawa, but even I can admit that boat has sailed.

Dont want Fisher back. THere's a reason he's in Nashville, because he wanted to be there.

Josi or Jones

Obviously we'd have to add, but I'd at least be interested to see just how much that is.

Thats fine.

Not really a desire to trade Zibanejad the way he is playing right now. Josi wouldn't cut it.

Yeah I know haha.

But seriously, if a deal could be made around Jones and Zibanejad , with the Sens throwing in a good piece, such as Wiercioch or a good forward prospect then Murray would make the deal. Another possibility is of course, Weber. The Sen's would need to send Michalek along because of money reason's, but with Nashville unlikely to be a cup contender in the next few years, if the Sens were willing to part with the assets necessary, it could be a real possibility (HF world of course). Something like this is what I was thinking from a Sen's fan POV:

Michalek
Zibanejad
Wiercioch
Prince/Puempel

In this deal, Nashville gets a top 6 winger that they would likely be able to keep at decent price in Michalek, a potential top line center, a young PMD with top 4 potential, and a prospect with top 6 potential.

As much as I would love this as a sens fan, there's absolutely no way this works for Nashville. Shea Weber is a top 3 Defenseman in the league, you don't get that on a trade based on potential, and relatively middling potential at that. If Ottawa wanted Weber that badly I think they'd have to offer Zib + Bobby Ryan + Weir/Cowen.

Which would likely never happen.

That is a DONE deal. Seriously, no questions asked at all. I don't want to trade Z-Bad, but that would have Sens fans dancing in the streets. I think you'd need to change Michalek to a piece that isn't useless and perhaps even add in a top prospect or 1st rounder in '15, but I doubt Nashville would even think about it personally.
