Anyway. Looks like Tampa's been shutout in three of their last five games including the last two. If the Senators weren't known for helping opposing teams bust out of their slumps, I might have considered that a good thing.
Senators do pretty well against the Lightning regardless though so I wouldn't be surprised to see the Senators take this with a score like 5 to 1 even with Bishop in net. The Senators know him pretty well.
Need to start a win streak here while divisional rivals are hitting these rough stretches. Important four points tonight as well as Saturday.

I guess you expect that you and those close to you will never have to face adversity such as diabetes or operations to correct birth defects.

That Conacher has overcome so much and plays so fearlessly is something to be be proud of.

Your post says far more about you that it does Conacher or any trade.

Conacher is a bit snake bitten, but he's not a bad player and he certainly isn't a deficit to this team. He's been on the ice for more goals for than against, he's got a positive Corsi and he draws a lot of penalties (he should really draw more, but refs hate Ottawa).

I find it funny how people can hate on Spezza for "advanced stats" saying that he's not doing well defensively, and they don't care that he's nearly a p/g (at least earlier in the season, he's been much better of late defensively) but then they get mad at Conacher because he's not producing despite having good underlying stats. Only players worth having are those who dominate advance statistics AND produce like all-stars? Got it.

Nonsense, Murray took what was the best offer and to judge the trade after 40 games is just a little premature, don't you think?.

I am the first one to say Cory wasn't NHL ready, however I also believe the kid has the heart and determination to improve his game and is doing so.

As I have said before Cory has skills that cannot be taught, the things he is lacking at the present can be.

If he continues to play with Zibanejad and Michalek, he will get his points in the near term and will only improve overall.

Just watched Conacher take an elbow to the head there, but ok.

Team looks decent so far. Keep it up.

PW on the right side again. You go Patty, sure would be nice if he could really settle in there and be like Gonch, I really think being on your off side helps a shooter like PW. Hard in your own end, however. He's doing OK playing on the other side this season IMO.

Icing the puck within the first 90 seconds of a game should result in a penalty.

If Conacher was wearing a different sweater he might have already drawn an elbowing/roughing call there. Ah well, doing what he does. Pesky Sen.

Nice early pressure.

It will be interesting to see if Ottawa aims for a particular spot on net.

Love Ryan. Anyone else on our team would have settled that puck down in the slot and wasted their chance.

I will be pleasantly surprised if Cory is still in the NHL in 4 years time.

Yup - regular lua file is busted. Go to the reddit/r/hockey wiki and use the manual instructions
