Yeah yeah, it's Eklund but if I'm correct he has some knowledge when it comes to the Flyers, no?

Realistically, what would it take? And by realistically I mean that Hall and RNH are off the table.

Does Edmonton have a good young defenseman to trade for him? No?

Well then he's not for sale.

With Couts starting to produce offensively, he definitely won't be moved.

If Hall is off the table there's probably nothing else on the Oilers roster that will make Flyers fans happy if they're going to send Couturier away.

Couturier is having a good season but let's be honest. It would take Couturier and a gargantuan + to get Hall out of Edmonton. Basically he is the Oilers.

Eklund rumours are garbage. Anything he suggests even makes no sense about 99% of time. He loves to write non-specifics to make himself appear in know.

Why would Philly move Couts? I'd love him here, but it makes no sense for them. Also, this is an Eklund rumour. Pretty much means nothing.

I thought this was comparable to the Gardiner-Couturier swap discussed earlier in the season.

Exactly. He's had a great run here under Berube and it would be ridiculous to move him at this point.

These are the exact type of so called rumors that make you never believe a thing Eklund writes.

Comparable in the sense that both deals are terrible.

I'd be thinking something around Yakupov. Kind of makes sense, Philly has good young talent, they're just too spread out. Couturier could be the 2C the Oilers desperately need. Could be pieces added but it could work out well for both teams.

So the Flyers, already over the salary cap, are going to trade their cheapest top 9 forward who has also been their best player the last 3 wks. Sounds legit to me.

Yeah not happening unless the Oilers are willing to part with Hall. There's just incentive for the Flyers to trade him at this point.

Couturier has finally started playing with confidence and now we are seeing him put up some offensive numbers. He is elite defensively, goes up against other teams top line every single game, and his now his line has really been our only consistent source of offense since they were put together. No thanks to any deal involving him at this point in time.
