His head is not nearly as perfectly spherical as Karl's, lol.

Watching a bit of Kings vs. Sharks. This is how hockey is supposed to be played.

Quite honestly depresses me even more about our **** Rangers

I really bashed Yzerman for signing Valtteri Filppula this offseason to that contract, but I'm eating serious crow on that. He's having an amazing season and the Lightning are playing amazing hockey without the second best goal scorer in the world.

The Lightning are quietly a VERY well run organization, despite not winning much the last few years.

Alex Steen now with 24 goals. One less than the combined output of 25 goals this year from our forwards named Rick Nash, Ryan Callahan, Derrick Brassard, Derek Stepan and Taylor Pyatt.

Steen has played 34 games and costs $3,362,500 this season
The named quintet has played 133 games and costs the NYR $19,900,000 this year

Food for thought, Cigar Sucker

That's the most depressing thing I've read here all week. Thanks.

Interesting read.

Pretty cool to note that Lemieux and McCarty are great friends today.

29 goals in 33 games. Just last year Caps fans were saying that he was done and that his new wife had gotten to his head. How things change lol

Yeah most elite players tend to have down years sometimes, maybe Hank can turn his **** around next season or so and be a Veznia candidate again.

Watching our Winter Classic game on NHL Network.

Something happened in the locker room. Losing guys like Prust hurts, but watching someone like Girardi throwing his body at everything is a tell tale sign.

We don't know something.

For a team that was supposed to be like the second worst in the NHL, Calgary sure play with a lot of heart and passion. Pittsburgh won this game but Calgary REALLY pushed them in the third period. I would be really proud of them if I was a fan.

Bob Hartley is also a very underrated coach.

Oh yes they might lack skill but the work ethic is top notch in that club

O'Reilly with a slick goal to tie it up vs Kings.

MDZ, can you raise your game a bit so we can trade your ass for him?

Amazing how many injuries he has gone through, and he is only 32 in February.
